Super ruhiger Ort um abzuschalten! Es war sehr schön und gepflegt. Das Abendessen das man zusätzlich vor Ort buchen kann, ist liebevoll zubereitet und schmeckt sensationell.

Das Ataraxia Resort besticht durch eine enorm gastfreundliche, aufmerksame und familiäre Atmosphäre sowie auch durch gepflegte kleine Häuser in einer wunderschönen Umgebung inmitten der Natur. Manon und Pierre sowie Francis und das weitere Team sind sehr bemüht, den Aufenthalt so einfach und angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Auch wenn man beim Frühstücken kurzentschlossen einen Ausflug buchen möchte, unterstützen sie bei der Organisation. Sie haben tolle Tipps für Aktivitäten und Restaurants. Das Frühstück sowie auch das Abendessen sind ein absoluter Genuss. Das Resort befindet sich auf der Insel Bastimentos und ist nur eine kurze Bootsfahrt von der Isla Colón (Bocas Town) entfernt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dieser ruhigen, privaten und naturnahen Umgebung sehr genossen und würden unsere Urlaubstage jederzeit wieder hier verbringen.

Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich. Einfach ein Paradies. Zudem sind die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist auch aussergewöhnlich gut dort. Es war ein Super Aufenthalt in Ataraxia.

Bungalow con vistas al mar increíbles. Lugar con mucha paz. Desayunos y cenas deliciosos. Anfitriones muy amables, te dedican todo el tiempo que haga falta para aconsejarte de los tours que puedes hacer. Recomendable 100%. Sin duda si volviera a Bocas del Toro, me vuelvo a alojar en Ataraxia!

La atención recibida de parte de todo el personal y la ubicación del lugar. Ademas, disponían de una nevera con muchos refrescos y cerveza al alcance de todos por solo un dolar y medio.

El restaurante estaba apartado del alojamiento y la cena es muy temprano. Sin embargo, todos estos pequeños detalles se avisan antes de realizar la reserva por lo que fuimos ya sabiendo esto.

all was perfect! if you want a relaxed and at the same time adventurous island get away this is the place. Pierre and Manon are such nice and caring hosts and make everything possible to make your holidays perfect. they helped us with transportation, had great advise for things to do and make the atmosphere there very cosy and welcoming. free snorkel equipment and kayaks are there for use. on top we had delicious dinners and breakfasts. there is so much love for detail in the bungalows, we even had a pair of binoculars there to use for watching wildlife. thanks so much to the whole crew of Ataraxia that they made our stay there a wonderful time!

The staff were lovely and food nice. Breakfast in the communal dining area was lovely as was dinner. However our rooms were awful. It was unbearably hot, no breeze, fan did not work well. No air con. We asked for an extra fan but it was inadequate. The rooms were not that clean, no hot water. Worst of all the sheets were made of awful sweaty nylon. So made you even hotter . Never get slept so badly in a hotel would advise people to avoid until they get air con and cotton sheets

Lovely staff, lovely place to stay in the jungle. The food was tasty too. Not far from town easy to get water taxis and walk to town through jungle.

Absolutely stunning accomodation, set right on the water and at the edge of the jungle. Amazing views and tranquil. Pierre and Manon were amazing hosts, super accomodating welcoming and friendly. The room was amazing, everything was perfect and the balcony with hammock was lovely. Breakfast was a welcome bonus and was delicious, dinner was yum and good sized portions. Eco-friendly and they really care for the environment and treat their staff wonderfully well. Wildlife, we saw a sloth, frogs and lots of birds.

Everything was exceptional.

The hosts were really lovely people and the bungalows are a dream. You feel like staying in a big family garden with lots of fun stuff to do, kayaking, snorkelling etc

You have to be aware of staying close to the jungle, so dont be afraid of bugs. (But u can also spot Sloths)

A uniquely beautiful accommodation on the quiet island of Bastimentos. For all those who are looking for peace and quiet it is exactly the right accommodation. Kayak and snorkeling equipment is available, the rooms are spacious, the food takes place in a wonderful atmosphere. Hosts are incredibly friendly, we would come back anytime and highly recommend it.

It's a really quiet place and everything was perfect, I stayed there with a friend and we spent a wonderful time. Dinner is something unique. Renè best taxi-boat driver in Bocas :)

This place was wonderful. The couple who run it are charming and have done an outstanding job designing and building the bungalows and dining room. The bungalow had a big porch with a panoramic view of the property and the ocean. The dining room did as well. Dinners were available there and were delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfasts were included in the price and were great. It was easy to hike over the hill to the big beaches and the small local town, and they were happy to arrange water taxis. We did a trip to the bat cave which was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

I think they were going to fix this but the only place to put suitcases and other items was on the floor of the room.

Our hosts were very helpful and had great interactions with everyone. They assisted with arrangements of a boating day tour, where to snorkel just off the Ataraxia shore, and contacted a water taxi for us when we departed. The room and mattress were comfortable and everything was super clean. Breakfasts and suppers were tasty (loved the pumpkin risotto and passionfruit cheesecake) plus endless morning coffee from the lovely top of the hill restaurant and yoga deck.

Despite lathering with oil and some bug spray, still got quite a few bites, even during the day, but it was otherwise very pleasant to sit on the deck at the onsite boat launch in the hammock or loungers. The upper cabins will have a much nicer view of the water too.

Very beautiful lodge in the woods with great view on fhe ocean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were very good at a beautiful terasse.

The place is amazing, it's a real hidden gem in the jungle of Isla Bastimentos. We were hesitant if we should stay at Isla Colon or go to Bastimentos because we didn't know how the transport between the island works, but it's really easy to get there and you can go to the beaches for a couple of dollars. Pierre and Manon were amazing hosts, they helped us with everything we needed and you can see they're doing everything they can fit their guests. The breakfasts and dinners were really tasty. The cabins are well equipped, modern and spacious. We were a bit worried about the lack of hot water but it was completely fine, I think we wouldn't use it even if it was available. All in all, the best place we stayed in during our trip to Panama, go there without any hesitation! Ask for cabin number 5 for the best view.

This accommodation is run by young couple and they are very welcoming and helpful. Loved the fridge with drinks in the house hall where everyone can take what they want and pay later. Free drinking water was also big plus. They call water taxi whenever you need one. Free kayaks and snorkelling gear. Thanks to their recommendation I went to see a bath cave and Red frogs beach. This place is away from noisy, party town but close enough that you don’t miss on it. it’s lovely green space worth the visit.

Very nice place. Friendly, helpful, caring hosts. The cabins are surrounded by beautiful trees. Red frogs can be seen. Festive, delicious dinner with a glass of wine.

Ataraxia was the best place we stayed in Panama. It was so nice, quiet and relaxing. The bungalows are more uphill and in the jungle, with fantastic views. We also had some nice dinners in the restaurant. The transport with watertaxis is easy and you can also walk to Old Banks when the waterlevel is not too high. We borrowed kayaks and went kayaking to Isla Solarte and along the mangroves. Beautiful. The owners Pierre and Manon are so friendly and helpful.
