Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It has everything needed for self-catering, well-equipped kitchen complete with an air fryer. Outside braai area. Off-grid yet perfectly functional, with good WiFi connectivity. The communication before arrival and self-check-in worked seamlessly. The peace and quiet of this property is truly special. Sitting on the veranda and taking in the mountain views while listening to birds was wonderful for the soul. As keen birders, we were thrilled to spot an Aghulhas Long-billed Lark on the gravel road leading to the cottage - a lifer for us! The location is conveniently positioned for day trips to Witsand or Malgas for breakfast or lunch. We took a lovely walk to the river - note that it's approximately 2 km each way, and the return journey involves a steep-ish climb back up.

Comfort as if it were your own home, everything was thought of. Didn't want or need for anything more. The setting in nature was absolutely unreal, so peaceful and quiet. The indoor fireplace helped tremendously with heating up indoors when the rainy weather rolled in. Made for a cozy, romantic setting at night. Would definitely recommend it to others, although I would also prefer to keep this gem to myself.

Be prepared for the long dirt road for the last 40kms of your trip. Although, it was totally worth it.

Beautiful Apartment in the middle of nowhere. Everything is new and in good conditions. Also the outside Braai is nice.

We didn‘t have warm water so it wasn‘t possible to use the outside bathtub. We contacted the owner but they only said „thank you for the feedback“. It is a way too pricy without warm water. We would not recommend it, when you book it only because of the outside bathtub.
