Aside from some minor quirks... this place is AMAZING. First of all, it is so easy to get to and find. It is right off of Highway 50 towards Lake Tahoe but feels "hidden away" once you drive the short distance up the hill to the property. It is super clean.... everything was immaculate. The host(s) add meaningful touches that made a difference like; a little basket with snacks and oatmeal that the kids ate for breakfast (we got in late and didn't have time to go to the store). The setup with the two bedrooms downstairs and the living room upstairs worked great. The half bathroom upstairs was so useful! The location is in perfect proximity for us to see family and do activities in Sacramento (just down the hill...about 30 minutes) but is also super close to Lake Tahoe to see the snow or play on the lake. Not mentioned but WORTH MENTIONING are the local trails.... This unit is 1/2 mile from the El Dorado Trail; perfect for walking, jogging, cycling, and horseback riding! This is the spot to stay if you are going to Apple Hill. It is 4 miles from High Hill Ranch where you get the BEST apple pies, apple donuts, etc. There is convenient grocery shopping and restaurants in nearby downtown Placerville as well. Now the minor quirks...1- The door key pad is tricky. We arrived at night and you can't see it well. Use your phone flashlight to see it. 2- The fan and light in the full bath shuts off too soon. 3- It is a bit tricky to figure out the heaters but they WORK

My husband and I have stayed in this unit before and enjoyed the location - it's very near our son and his family which made it very convenient. It's minutes away from downtown Placerville, Apple Hill and many other orchards and vineyards. The views out of the big windows are very beautiful. We were quite comfortable and will most certainly stay here again for our next visit.
