Our stay was very relaxing with the calm location. The accommodations had all the supplies needed and the sunroom was the best place to eat meals. The owners were very responsive to all our questions. My 94 year old mother did enjoy the motorized recliner in the couch. It was the only place she was comfortable. We would definitely rebook if the flooring was updated to be level and the mattresses were replaced with ones less lumpy. However, my siblings and I couldn't get sleep because of being uncomfortable and we had to make sure my 94 year old mother could be safe on the unlevel floors (we had to make sure we didn't hurt ourselves too). My brother did thoroughly enjoy the kayaks available but had to rent a vest since the vest in the dock storage weren't sized for adults. Even with all these points, we were lucky to find a place to stay within our price range.

My brother and I made this reservation to honor our father who passed away in in 2021. The cabin was perfect because of his love for the outdoors including its location nestled in a quiet cove. The cabin is definitely rustic. It had everything we needed including a beautiful view, and peaceful atmosphere. Plenty of firewood and the necessities for those who enjoy simplicity. The shower is quite small for tall people and hot water spare but served its purpose. We took advantage of the kayaks that were provided and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances needed for our trip. Our concern was the air conditioning. We did contact Daniel and he was able to provide a temporary solution but it only worked for one day. He did explain he was waiting on parts for repair and thankfully the weather cooperated as it wasn’t too humid and nights were cool. The windows were difficult to open as they are the old aluminum pinch frame but we managed. The property has more of a mobile home vibe than a cottage and we were a bit concerned with exposed electrical wires, uneven floors, and one bedroom had a shower curtain for a door. That being said, location was key for us. It was clean and perfect for renters who are looking for a peaceful, simplistic environment.

This was a great place to stay. The beds were comfy and the necessary amenities were all there. The scenery was beautiful, the access to the lake was fun, it it’s only a couple of minutes away from town.

We had a lovely time. Caught up with old friends and really enjoyed the cottage! What a beautiful spot. Melinda was quick to respond to questions and I would definitely rent this spot again!! Sharon

Nothing fancy but it served us well. Great dock with power about 20’ from cabin. Very shallow water trying to get into Goose Creek. Plenty of fire wood supplied.

Real cabin feel (not stuffy hotel). Owners of this property are wonderful. They were very responsive (we reported stuff needing attention, and they immediately reached out to get people to take care of things). Owners were helpful and truly cared that we had a good stay. It is well loved and has quirks - it's more of a cabin-y feel than a hotel stay. Each room was comfortable and had a different charm. Internet and Netflix (our teenager was happy). Hot water tank is smaller for showers, so we just took shorter showers. It's a property on water and across from a nature preserve, so nature has it's influence- bugs (that's nature, not the owners), birds, ducks, beavers, spiders, deer, lightning bugs, mosquitoes, geese, cranes, and many fish to catch (for fishing they used night crawlers) were all found in the back yard! Washer/ dryer in unit (we came from out of state by plane, so we were able to pack light). Neighborhood is lovely and nice neighbors there. We felt at home. We rented a boat and were able to park on the dock. We used the hot tub and the grill - both were great! Close to several ice cream, grocery stores and many local residents sell fresh items (like eggs). Charming getaway for sure! Would 100% stay at this property again.

Myself, mother and sister came up to Ny to visit friends and I rented this cabin for the weekend. It was the perfect place for us. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there and didn’t get to enjoy the outside much, but I would love to return in the summer. From beginning to end the whole process was easy. One thing I would would like to see is some gravel out front of the house to ease the mud when it rains.

Quick stay- great location for what we needed. Owner was quick to respond
