The property was very modern.

It was perfect!

Great location and nice house.

No internet.

Beautiful setting, nice and quiet and feels like you're in nature while close to Fredericksburg, beds are comfortable and bedding and towels were clean. We really had a wonderful stay although there were a couple of things that needed some tlc in the cottage.

Working with the rental company was a pain, we had no wifi, the refrigerator leaked water so all our food got soaking wet. The microwave was either dirty or damaged but it's positioned so high that we could not figure out what it was and because of the position we could not really reach it to use it. Cutlery and crockery was not washed properly, no dishwasher soap so we don't know if it works, hand wash everything. The outside gas grill works but it's dirty and there wasn't something we could use to clean it. The breakfast table had a loose/ broken part at the bottom so we avoided using it, we reported it to the rental agent who only apologized but I do believe the place should be properly inspected before it gets rented out again especially because the fee includes a cleaning charge so one expects that at least the mugs and plates gets checked between tenants. The place has a low budget feel but the price is comparable to a decent hotel room in town, we loved the thought of staying out in the countryside so that's why we opted to stay there. Maybe our expectations were too high?
