Waking up in the sunny parish of Canhas, with a splendid sea view is really the best way to start your days in Madeira. This area is both rural and residential, however you will find all the facilities you need in the calm and tranquility that so well characterizes the countryside.
All refurbished and recently decorated, this villa has 3 spacious bedrooms, all with double beds, one of them with private bathroom. The second bathroom is available to all guests.
The kitchen, also renovated, offers all the convenience you need to prepare your meals. Here you will find facilities like oven, coffee machine and microwave. You also have a laundry area with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The remaining areas are generous both in size and in natural light coming from the large windows distributed throughout the bedrooms and the living room.
The living room and dining room are designed in open space and have direct access to the inviting balcony of the accommodation.
The view from the accommodation extends to the horizon where the peaceful sea awaits you. Ponta do Sol beach is one of the most loved by the locals, despite being the typical pebble beach, it has a bay with calm and clean water. In the vicinity there is no lack of good options of local gastronomy, cafés and cultural activities.
One of the realities of this accommodation is precisely its rurality and the easy access to the walks and levadas of the area. Some of these are Levada Velha dos Canhas, Levada do Moinho and Cabo da Levada.
Despite being located in the countryside, just a few minutes drive or even in a short walk, you will find many services such as a mini market, petrol station and a variety of restaurants.

We liked the view, the sunny terrace where we could have breakfast in the morning, the view from the kitchen into the garden, and the fact that everything was very clean and that the beds were comfortable.
The appartment is still very new and that made it a little bit uninspiring in a way for us. Some furniture or decoration could be added to make it a bit more homely and practical. Like: an outside table and chairs to sit on the terrace, a second brush to clean the toilet, some thicker/extra curtains in the 2 front bedrooms to keep the light from the street lantern shining in at night, some extra kitchen equipment, like a measuring cup, a kitchen scale and a dishwasher. Also an electrical stove would be nice to have in the living room for the fresher evenings, and a doormat + coat rack at the entrance of the appartment. A coat rack in the bath rooms would also be nice, and a little rack in the showers to put soap and shampoo onto.
