This is a great beach house just outside the town of Shimoda. We wanted a break from the big cities on our two-week Japan trip and this was the perfect place. It's very spacious for Japan, which allowed our family to have separate areas to hang out when needed. Billy is an awesome host. He was quick to answer the few questions we had and even set us up with someone for a tour of the area. We wished we could have stayed longer.
We knew it ahead of time so it didn't bother us yet it's worth noting this location isn't that walkable to a lot of places outside of the Sotoura Beach area. A bike, bus, or taxi will be helpful if you don't have a car. Between taxis and a hired driver, it worked fine for us.
Nothing. It was great.
