Villa Brigitte

Lovely accommodation in pretty location

The breakfast was more than enough and Margaux, the owner, couldn't have been more accommodating in varying it to what we wanted or when we wanted. The photo of the breakfast tray on the website is realistic. The accommodation, car parking, the Villa's setting & location ticked all the boxes for us, we are looking to make a return visit in March / April 2027. Margaux was very helpful with giving us ideas of things to do during our stay and restaurants to eat at, of which there is loads of choice all within a few miles. The villa has three units all of which are to a high standard of finish. We had The Suite which is upstairs, the Cottage, which is underneath The Suite, and has a Jacuzzi, it is larger and is the one we would book the next time we stay, and The Cabin which has a Hot Tub. The Cabin is what it implies, a cabin but is still to a high standard. All three units have en suite bathrooms. The Villa is set in a good sized plot so plenty of room to walk around or children to play safely in. Traffic on the local roads near the Villa was almost non existent so very peaceful.

There really was nothing not to like about the Villa but if to be very slightly critical then the two items below but they really are of no big deal. The accommodation has a separate toilet to the bathroom, which is great, but it doesn't have a washbasin in it, not sure if one could be fitted in because of the size of the room. The accommodation is open plan so could do with a curtain, or something similar, between the lounge and the bedroom to give more privacy to anybody sleeping on the sofa bed or to reduce the level of light between the two rooms.

Unique

Nothing

The room was very clean. The house is decorated nicely.

The boundaries of where guests are allowed to be in the outside area could be made much clearer. Some form of enclosure would be beneficial, particularly around areas where guests are not expected to go. My husband felt quite unwelcome during our stay and had the impression that he was being watched. Although dogs are allowed, we unfortunately didn't feel that the property was particularly dog-friendly. The internal doors also feel quite cheap and flimsy, and the door handles need attention. They are positioned far too close to the architraves, making it dangerously easy to trap your fingers when opening or closing the doors.
