The room and theme was great. Despite being above a pub it was quiet from below. The offer of ear plugs was also a nice touch for light sleepers. Having a private mini bar room was also an excellent touch
The inconsistent message around breakfast. First morning found a tray left out in the bar with fresh fruit and yoghurt plus cereals, next day only cereal and last day a full continental buffet. Talking to staff revealed that the buffet only gets put out when multiple rooms are occupied, which is fine if not for the written guidance suggested its always provided regardless.

The George and Heart oozes charm, as a historic building it is higgledy-piggledy but in a good way, the decor is eclectic.
If I faulted it in anyway, it would be sloping floor! But that’s part of the charm.

Friendly staff and very quirky cool place
There are NO TOILETS in your room - please be aware of this. You have a designated private toilet but it is in the end of a public corridor. The photos on site make it look like you have en suite facilities but you don’t .
