The owner was welcoming and very helpful. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Homely and practical, not modern or cluttered.
For us visiting family it was excellent location. Walk down to the local shops in Dalbeattie was great with the dog as we could go via local park, lovely walk by burn.
Had hoped to go back in September but not surprisingly it is fully booked except for odd days.
The drive is very steep, to the garages and for car parking, packing and unloading, .... not a problem for us but some may struggle with it.

The location and facilities were excellent for the golf competition at Southerness
Decorating could be more modern

The cottage exceeded our expectations, it was cosy, clean and in the perfect location for walking. The town was a 10 minute walk away.
The garden was stunning, lovely garden furniture, bird feeder with fabulous birds visiting the garden.
The cottage was well equipped with a lovely comfy bed and large shower.
I highly recommend this cottage, we loved our stay.
That we had to go home!
