Mita and Kadek were fantastic hosts! It was such a privilege to stay within their family compound. Fascinating conversations, we learned a lot and felt well looked after. Kadek is also a very knowledgeable guide. The spacious villa had its privacy as well. Super safe, quiet, and a short walk to restaurants and matkets.

No complaints! Don't be fooled by some flaking paint, the villa is in a very good condition and comfortable.

A fabulous place to stay in Ubud! The rooms were clean, light and well laid out, and the outdoor space so pretty and relaxing. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, the best nasi goreng of the trip. The location was peaceful but just a short walk into town and there are several warungs nearby. But what makes Danu House really stand out is the kindness of the hosts. My elderly Mum had an accident early in our stay and fractured her ankle and Mita and Kadek and their lovely family took the best care of us - staying with us at the hospital, bringing us meals, making up a room for Mum downstairs, driving us everywhere...I can't even describe the lengths they have gone to to help us enjoy the rest of our trip. If you are looking for a lovely place to stay in Ubud, where you can meet a wonderful Balinese family and see a slice of Balinese life, you can't go past Danu House. We will be forever grateful to Mita and Kadek and will definitely be visiting them again.
