Radisson Blu Resort, Lanzarote Adults Only

Just come back from a great stay at the Radisson Blu. The room was a good size and very clean. I realise design is subjective but for me it was also beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing, with good use of mood lighting creating a nice ambience after dark. In fact the whole hotel is well designed and creates a sense of calm. The staff were lovely and worked hard, it would be unfair to name names as everyone we met was great and really helped make our stay. A couple of things that we particularly liked - good fresh coffee in the breakfast area (and fresh orange juice) and good air con in the room. The breakfast and dinner buffet were very good with lots of choice. I'd also recommend the burrito on the lunch menu, it was delicious. The town is only a short 15-20 minute walk away, you can either go along the main road or a path along the beach. If you like the beach/sea there is a sheltered bay just before the town which looked like a great place for a swim. There is also the main beach in Costa Teguise which you could walk to and spend the day at if that's your thing. If you have a late flight like us, you can book a courtesy room for 30 mins later in the day to shower if you want to spend the last day around the pool. Taxis to the airport can be ordered in 5 minutes so no need to book ahead. The clientele was definitely skewed older and British, but not exclusively so and that could just be the time of year (October). All in all a fabulous stay, it's a shame we only had 4 nights due to work commitments but maybe next time we will be able to stay for longer.

We would have liked a table tennis table, we didn't actually ask so maybe there is one but I don't think so. It is designed to be a calm relaxing hotel so I could understand it would have to be in a room somewhere but I think it would be a nice addition. They had a pool table which was good. Other than that I can't think of anything.

The staff, the cleanliness, the calm and quiet surroundings. Wonderful breakfast.

Only one small flaw, no tray in shower to put toiletries on!

The umbrellas didn’t seem to be waited down enough and I witnessed an argument with a guest who had her umbrella put down without any consultation personally I needed the shade due

location was good, very clean, staff nice very peaceful. Big hotel, lots of space. All the seating at the bar/restaurants were all very comfortable, lovely wood and cushions, no plastic chairs...vey nice.

I booked the sea front room and the balcony was not private at all, on both sides. It made me feel very uncomfortable to be outside on my balcony. I changed room but i still had to pay for the very expensive sea front. You need to let people know that the balcony is NOT private BEFORE they book. Some sunbeds had cushions at the sea front (pay extra?) for such a nice hotel, all sun beds should have cushions. Having dinner every night here was difficult, the buffet was basically the same every night
