It is perfect for a short stay/layover in Catania, close many sights
It is a bit uncomfortable to walk around the neighbourhood at night

Great place, newly renovated with pretty much everything you need for a short stay. Very close to city center with bunch of bars and restaurants around. Bus and train station are 10-15 minutes walking distance. There's a big open market nearby that everyone should visit in the morning. Breakfast was simple, but more than enough to keep us filled till lunch. Good sound insulation giving you a chance for a good night sleep. They cleaned room every day which is a nice touch!
Place where breakfast is served is a bit small and can get crowded quickly. In this case staff will rush you to finish your breakfast faster, which we didn't like.

Breakfast was great. Pizzeria next to it.
The personel wasn’t nice and regarding our request, which was “don’t clean our room or come inside during our stay” they were in. When I asked if I can pay tourist tax by card I heard that it won’t be a problem, but while checking out we heard “cash is required”.
I believe there were no bad intentions in all of that. I assume all it was is language barrier. That happens…
