Bed was squeaky and too soft

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at this beautiful cottage, which was located perfectly for our stay and close to the Swan where we could nip in for a cheeky pint. The cottage was well stocked with all we needed and was basically a home from home. It was clean, good wi-fi for the kids and even some DVD's to keep the little one's quiet in the evening. The highlight was watching the steam train go past in the mornings before we headed out for our days of activities. We had a thoroughly good time, and would not hesitate to book this cottage again.

Super location in a quiet spot close to local footpaths and pubs. Use of keybox helpful and outside space welcome. Lovely little cottage for a few days break. Off road parking. Comfy beds and a great shower!

Firstly, the garden was lovely but the grass needed cutting/tidying and certainly the hedge needing trimming back - a shame because it could be a beautiful outside space. Secondly, it would have been a nice gesture for there to have been some milk in the fridge at least, if not some local biscuits or some other thoughtful gesture (shampoo, conditioner etc), so we could have a cuppa upon our arrival - we hadn't driven too far, but then had to get back in the car to bring fresh milk, butter etc in, meaning a drive along the busy main road again. It's not far, but is an inconvenience that we could have done without. On a similar note, the informative email arrived about four hours after us, and was merely a tick box form - some paper explanations of how to use the oven, up to date local visit details (not mounds of out of date walks etc) would be helpful especially if you are not that tech savvy, or have left technology at home to enjoy a break. Finally, larger saucepans, frying pan and wooden or plastic fish slice would be a welcome addition - I found it difficult to rustle up a stir-fry in a tiny pan, just for 2 of us. Heaven knows how a family of four would manage.
