The lodge itself was perfect! Our Cocker spaniel loved the decking and knowing how safe he was made it even more great. Perfect hosts nothing is too much trouble. And the steak given to us on the first night was delicious! Cannot recommend enough.

One of the better lodges we have stayed in.

Lapwing is a beautiful, dog friendly lodge set along side of the canal, the first of 3 other lodges. There’s ample parking. The enclosed decking area was perfect for our dog, who loved watching the boats pass and watching his human brother enjoy the private hot tub. The lodge has everything you need from towels, gowns, slippers, toiletries to dog essentials (bowls, blankets) to all your self catering needs.
