This vacation spot is above and beyond what I was expecting. The staff was top tier and the cooking was absolutely amazing. The locals were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again.

Everything about our stay made us feel warm welcome and safe. The staff was top notch and made sure we had what we needed and were taken care of. Tours with Gustavo were arranged quickly and he made sure we had transport and a full experience. The property manager was quick to respond with all of our questions.

Leading up to the stay, the hosts were open to answering any questions and the sent out a few documents so that we would know about the property. Some odd things - 1) You cannot flush toilet paper. A few in my party of 7 had some issues with this. It is unusual for someone from the U.S., but common in the DR. 2) We were at the house from July 4-12, 2024, and it was very warm. Not having air conditioning in the living areas was uncomfortable. We kept the doors and windows open, but there was no cool breeze. It was warm and bugs flew in the house. All of us had numerous bug bites when we left. We closed up the house at dusk as the bugs were attracted to the house lights at night. They need to add air conditioning to the living areas like they have in the bedrooms. 3) Although having a chef sounds good, she wasn't willing to suggest meals. We asked her what her specialties were and what she liked to cook and she really wouldn't tell us. It was nice having a chef and someone to clean up from meals, but the meals were not wonderful. They were "fine" to "good". 4) The Cofresi beach is not a place where you want to chill out and relax. Don't plan on spending time there. You will spend your time at the pool at the house. 5) The house has a 5 gallon water dispenser. Make sure that you get plenty of bottles to use for toothbrushing and dish washing. You still have to pay, but it's cheaper and easier than individual bottles. The house was nice, but we would not revisit. 7/10.
