Wonderful place to stay. Loads of character. Can’t wait to visit again. The host is very welcoming.

Had a lovely stay in the cottage, great location and good amenities.

What a hidden gem this beautiful place to stay is! We arrived, to be greeted by George, who was an absolute gentleman and helped us with our things (we have health issues so this was such a great help for us). We were shown around the apartment which was spotlessly clean, and extremely beautiful and quirky. The history of the building made it so much more inviting along with the greenery, wrought iron work, church windows and pews. The way the owners have carefully converted the church into these lovely apartments is awesome. The whole atmosphere inside and also outside in the lovely garden area is wonderful. Everything you need for a lovely, relaxing holiday is here, from a freezer to a washer/dryer and all the things in between. The bed is extremely comfortable and there is plenty of hot water. Around the area there is plenty to see and do. There’s the blacksmiths at Gretna Green, the Caledonia Park outlet at Gretna and even a trip to Carlisle for shopping and a visit to the castle or Cathedral there. We will most definitely return and we highly recommend to all. A massive thanks to George and team for making our stay so perfect!

We were welcomed by the owners who were lovely and very accommodating. The cottage had everything we needed and was close to shopping centres and attractions. We asked if we could stay an extra night and they were happy with that.
