A proposito di questa villa struttura in affitto
Olive Grove House
The house itself reflects its owner’s big and independent soul, looking for peace and nature. 580 square meters in total, of which 385 square meters to rent. Immersed in the countryside with the intention of not altering the spirit of the place, respecting local tradition, as well as looking forward to modernity.
The building has been thoughtfully located in a hilly countryside spot, completely virgin, with lots of marvelous fifty years old olive trees, in Abruzzo, 10 minutes from Pescara city (and Abruzzo Airport).
The architect’s philosophy was very clear: building her house as it was part of the pre-existing nature, a gentle addition rather than a presumptuous one.
It was an unusual attitude for an architectural project at that time, as, almost everybody, wanted to be powerfully innovative. Her strong desire of preserving nature and to not cutting or moving any of the olive trees already on the spot led towards a project that consisted of three white buildings with a traditional look in masonry, connected to each other by a modern central body made of glass. In front of this central body, an iron and solid wood patio. Above, a terrace with roof garden.
Another characterizing element is the inclusion of the buildings in the natural course of the land, thus creating the possibility of access from different heights. In fact, today, it seems that the buildings have been “lowered” from above, among the olive trees, without altering the existing balance and giving these spots new living spaces.
Traditional materials were used in the construction typology, with the use, in the various buildings, of solid wood structures with the insertion of a traditional truss and a floor with structural beams. This structure creates a pleasant effect of beams’ sequence that continues with the external portico.
The architectural studio and the house were conceived together. The studio is located on the highest level of the house. The final addition to the project was a panoramic swimming pool, completed in 2025. Shared by both villas and seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape, it is surrounded by spacious sun terraces and framed by centuries-old olive groves and rolling hills, creating a peaceful retreat where guests can fully unwind.
