Clean basic accomodation. Failure to attend to issues , that whilst small in themselves, combine to leave a dissappointing experience.Previous reviews refer to bedroom doors out of alignment and not shutting, and a lack of cooking utensils. This is still the case. Chipped cheap crockery. Cheap bedding and very poor quality pillows in both of the bedrooms. Side lamps with such low wattage bulbs render themselves totally useless. All of this combines to deliver an underwhelming experience. Attention to these details would change this.all in all, the lodge is overpriced, definitely not 'luxury' as described, and poor value. The lodge management - sykes cottages- are unacceptably difficult to contact, either not responding, or taking several hours to return contact requests. Overall this is not a lodge i recommend.
