Annstead House is comfortable and we enjoyed our three night stay. However, there was a strong smell of dogs in the living room which would put us off returning. Also, there was a shelf unit in the bathroom between the toilet and the washbasin which we moved as it was inconveniently placed. This exposed the side and rear of the toilet and it was obvious that this area hadn't been cleaned for months.
Regarding the booking procedure, having paid the full amount requested by VRBO, £555.52, we were amazed to receive an email from Sykes Cottages thanking us for our "deposit" and requesting a further payment of £7.60 or the booking would be cancelled!
