Finding a house big enough for a weekend family gathering of 8 adults, 6 children and one dog was a proving a struggle until we discovered Waters Edge. The property was big enough to accommodate us with space to spare. The huge kitchen lends itself to entertaining and the view of sun up from the master bedroom was stunning. A garden gate into the dunes really does take you to Waters Edge. A good option for any big group, with golf and a heritage railway close by.

Waters Edge was the ideal house for a celebratory long weekend with 3 generations. The kitchen was very well equipped, beds very comfortable and multiple seating areas so we could spread out.

Leading up to the holiday Bloom Stays were extremely good at responding to my phone calls and emails. They provided all the answers to my questions and it was very easy to deal with them. We had requested an earlier check-in than 4pm and a few days before our holiday Bloom Stays confirmed an earlier check-in time of 2pm had been agreed with the owner, which was really helpful. The property was fantastic, a massive TV and a massive kitchen with a huge table that easily accommodated our party of 10 and would have easily accommodated the maximum number of guests (15). The stair gates were extremely useful as our party included a 2 year old. With a big party an added benefit of this house was all the bedrooms had en-suite bathrooms, which made it easy for all to get ready for an early day out. Walking out of the back gate straight onto the sand dunes and beach was a real attraction when choosing a property for our holiday. The beach had a lot to offer with sand dunes, stones, shells and only a short walk along the shore to a sandy beach, which was very busy due to the bank holiday week and the excellent weather. The children had a great time, running in and out of the sand dunes, studying the different shells and just playing in the sand. The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch railway is a good day out. You can get a roamer ticket, expensive, but you can jump on and off at any station all day long. Definitely worth thinking about but you would need to get the first train in the morning to make the most of your day out. For a large party it would have been nice to have a few more seats outside on the patio, currently only 4. Also, the outside shower was faulty and could not be used - not essential and did not impact on the fantastic time we all had. It just meant a little more sand came into the property. Overall, everyone agreed, the house and area were great. Two of our party liked to have a morning run along the beach and sand dunes. They would do around 6km each day, taking different routes and agreed the house location was ideal for this.

The house was amazing. The house was very well equipped with things we needed. The only things we would suggest are more than one hand towel per bathroom as some people use them for hair towels. Also, in the garden, the steps do not have a hand rail and my parents who are older struggled a bit walking up and down them. Instructions for things are very clear and we had an amazing time
