Close enough to the square and far enough away to be totally quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed morning coffee on the front patio and the hot tub in the beautiful evenings. Reserving and accessing the property was easy and seamless. No problem for our group of 4 but a possible downside for some might be that there is no shower in the master bathroom.

A nice house that fit New Mexico landscape......quiet and out of town but close enough to shops, etc. The dirt road wasn't the greatest, but okay if you just go slow. It did get you to a great view of mountains and Taos.

Layout is good for 2 couples. Be sure to take bath soap. None furnished. Everything else is good. Our 2nd stay here.

Reviewer Comments: Having stayed in various locations in the Taos area in the past, I can say that this location is ideal. The views are spectacular, the proximity to hiking trails is unparalleled, the setting is serene and peaceful, and it's just a short, enjoyable drive to town (through the forest as opposed to the main drag). The house has a lovely layout and plenty of natural light. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is bright and cheery, the main room is comfortable with spectacular views, and both bedrooms are serene. The hot tub is divine. A few serious issues: 1) the oven doesn't work--it gets up to temp and then stalls and plummets in temperature. Several of the meals I had planned and for which I had already purchased food were ruined as a result; 2) we were only provided with two rolls of toilet paper for our 4 night stay--an oversight that became apparent on our last day there. If the oven were repaired/replaced, I would stay here again in a heartbeat (and bring backup toilet paper, I guess).

Close to everything in Taos, but still quiet and secluded enough to feel like you are out in a rural area.

It would have been the perfect getaway if not for the fact it was a smokers house, or had been heavily smoked in. The sheets were clean but the bedspreads and blankets were disgusting. They smelled so bad there was no way you could have the covers up around your face. The general smell of the house pretty much ruined the stay. We spent as little time as possible at the house because of this. I don't believe this was advertised as a smoking house and it should have been! My daughter has asthma and I have allergies so it's very important for us not to be in a smoke filled home. What a special place this would have been had it not been for the smell!!

Premier Properties were professional in booking this property and it was everything plus more in their description. The home was very comfortable, had everything you needed to cook with and a great hot tub after a long day of skiing. I would highly recommend this property.

Then, when you enter the house, you are impressed with its Taos charm, the decor, the cleanliness, and the roominess. Spending a week here was delightful. The house is also conveniently located ten minutes away from grocery and drug stores, and not much farther to the Plaza. A couple of things posed minor problems such as the icemaker not working and the ice trays provided cracked and hard to use, and the oven not working. I reported this to the caretaker and he assured me he would notify the owner. He was so attentive and responsive to our calls, that I am certain he will do as he said. On the morning that we were to depart, there was a lot of snow on the driveway, making it difficult for us to leave. Chuck came over and made a pathway in the snow so that we could drive out. I would recommend the Taos House to anyone wanting a relaxing time in Taos with unbelievable views from every window.

Only 1 shower for 2 bedrooms, ceramic floor tile cracked + loose, kitchen sprayer inoperable, whirlpool tub smelled like sewer when activated ( had to shower to get smell off) refrigerator extremely noisy, fire alarm went off every time we cooked.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We didn't spend much time in the cabin as we skied every day. We basically just slept there. The house was clean and comfortable. The only drawbacks to the house are that we were told it would take 20 mins to get to the mountain. And in fact It probably does but with snow and ice on the road that time almost doubles. The other thing that was different was the fact that we had to pull the linens and start the wash before we left. We've never been asked to do that before. Overall I would stay there again. One more thing, when using google maps or any other electronic way to find this house. Make sure you look at the address outside the house before you try to get in. Google maps has the house located at the opposite end of the street.

TV did not work. Chuck was to come to fix, but he never did. Loved the stay. It was close to our Taos relatives. Would definitely stay there again, but would make sure the TV worked. Thanks.
