The first room given to us was big and had a nice view of a balcony and the main street. Most of the staff were very nice and pleasant. When we needed something, they were able to help us. It was quiet the first few nights in the first room. They had us switch rooms, and then the alleyway was very noisy with dogs barking and cats. We ended up getting sick, and our family brought us food, which the management heated for us. They did serve a very simple breakfast. They had WiFi for us to use. If staying one night, it is probably a great deal.

Walls were very thin, so you could hear people outside the room talking. Could also hear people using the bathroom. There was water on the floor in the hall for several days. We would tell management, but nothing was done to clean it up. Found other hair on the bedspread, so not sure if they wash it frequently. We tried asking for an early cancellation due to health reasons. Booking.com said they were good with it, but Sumaq was not. They would not accommodate us and allow us to leave early. Management overcharged us for our room (double the amount owed). Management couldn't handle cancelling the transaction and re-running it. Still waiting for a refund. When we ordered breakfast, we didn't get our own plates. They brought the egg inside the bread on a wicker tray. We did stay at another hotel before this one, which was much nicer, so we had something to compare it to. They only give big towels; no floor mat or wash clothes.
