This has to be one of if not the favourite property we have stayed in anywhere in the world! A combination of brilliant hosts, a lovely house and a stunning location are hard to beat. Oliver and Maria were attentive hosts with lots of communication before and during our trip and they were happy to assist with pretty much everything from arrival shopping, car hire and organising wonderful massages for all the family, we really couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The house is lovely, permeated with the incredible smell of orange blossoms (orange tress in the garden!) with lots of gardens and coffee on the balcony in the morning with that view of the mountains…There are lots of amazing mountain hikes, both on the doorstep and within 10km, we did some stunning routes taking in lovely villages like Pampaneiro, really not to be missed. This really is an awesome place to have a holiday, the house has everything you need, inside and out including aircon in all the rooms, a lovely pool, incredible mountain location a short walk from a lovely town with restaurants, shops, bars and lovely cafes.

We had a lovely stay in Orgiva and found the house to be exactly as promised. A short walk from the village, it offers peaceful surroundings with all the amenities you need within reach. The stay was enhanced by the cats and dogs that usually decided to come by and say hi. Inside the house is a advertised, proper beds and a well equipped kitchen that covered all our needs.

We had a beautiful stay at Oliver and Maria’s. Brilliant communication throughout. The house was so lovely and well kitted out. The views are spectacular, pool wonderful (even though we were there in April so a cooler time of year). The garden is lovely with orange and lemon and nut trees. We wish we could have stayed longer aa d would love to return.

We had the most wonderful time in Cortijo El Potro. It already started before we arrived in Órgiva. Communication with Oliver and María was so easy. We arrived pretty late but were welcomed by María nevertheless. Upon entering the house we were stunned... not only was everything we needed there, the beds were made, there was food for the next morning and next day, bread, wine, cheese, coffee, milk, and the only thing we had to do was put the children to bed, open a bottle of wine and sit down on the terrace to enjoy the gorgeous view of the mountains and the sounds of nature. Our kids (18 months and almost 4 years old) loved the place! They could play around in the garden (there are toys and a little playground), help pick fresh oranges from the trees in the morning, and enjoy the swimming pool. It was so comfortable to be in a place where they could play safely. We took them to one of the beaches recommended by Oliver and María, which was only a 30 minute drive away. It was a hidden gem, which we would never have found without the inside information provided by our hosts in the tourist guide included in the welcome package. The house truly has everything. It has a washing machine (with detergent!), everything you need to cook, a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, a toaster, two barbecues (with coal and everything you need to light it) with utensils, a highchair for the children, two wonderful terraces with great lounge chairs (we’re actually thinking of buying them for our house), perfectly functioning wi-fi, airco, umbrellas (María even brought us one to take to the beach), plenty of closet space, wonderful beds. It was very clean, both indoors and outdoors, and it was so comfortable to be able to leave the house without having to worry about cleaning. All in all, this house lives up to its promise and then some. It was magical. It is absolutely kid-friendly, but also parent friendly 😊 The beautiful and peaceful surroundings and the worry-free and comfortable stay made this a holiday to never forget. Incredible value for money and a definite recommendation for anyone (with or without children). We will most definitely be back!
