The cottage is amazing. Much larger than expected. Very clean and modern. Tony, the owner, has thought of everything. Washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets provided plus dish cloth, sponge, and teatowel. In the bathroom, he provided toilet roll, and a few small bottles of toiletries. There was also a lovely welcome hamper with teabags, coffee sachets, sugar, wine, orange juice and biscuits. The beds are really comfortable. The hot tub was absolutely brilliant. Location is really good. Not too far from local shops, and just a short drive to the bigger supermarkets. Park and Ride at Monks Cross is great if you're heading into York City centre. My friend and I had a fantastic stay here and would absolutely recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.

I honestly can think of anything negative to say about this place.

Great location and furnished with everything we needed.

Sorry but we didn't find the double bed comfortable although we appreciate this is personal choice and others may have found it fine.

Home from home accommodation. Fab location to get to York.

Very clean, modern property that felt welcoming. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The cottage was just outside a rural village but it was easy to access the city centre by taxi. Good social spaces would make it ideal for staying with friends. A welcome basket on arrival was appreciated. Communication with the host was great.

The oven took forever to heat up to temperature.
