Red Sea Relax Hotel

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. We were a large group of 9 people and had 5 rooms between us. The staff were absolutely amazing and were probably the best thing about the hotel. They were always friendly, helpful, and happy to assist with any question or problem we had. Our rooms were also cleaned every day, which was great. The hotel is very close to the sea, which was a big plus for us. There is also a great swimming pool on the property. Breakfast had a good selection of Egyptian food. Everything was quite simple, but tasty. You could also ask the chef to make an omelette, fried eggs, or pancakes, which was a really nice touch and one of our favourite things about breakfast.

There were a couple of downsides. The biggest issue was probably the bathroom. The shower was designed quite strangely: there was only the lower part of the shower enclosure with a curtain, so water constantly leaked onto the bathroom floor. In our room, there was a special floor squeegee that we could use to push the water towards the drain, but having to do this after every shower was not exactly pleasant. We found out that some other rooms didn’t even have one, so guests had to use a towel to soak up the water. It would be a good idea to provide a squeegee in every room, although ideally the showers should be redesigned so that the water doesn’t leak out in the first place. Another downside was the Wi-Fi. In the rooms upstairs, it barely worked, and even when it did, the connection often dropped. To reconnect, we sometimes had to go to reception and ask them to activate it again. The hotel could also use some cosmetic renovation.

We enjoyed our stay very much, especially the kid (8yo), but it's not REAL Sinai like it is in a camp. Ahmad is super nice and approachable. The location is perfect. Night swim was the best!

It wasn't very comfortable to climb the stairs up to our room. Not much to do about that I suppose. There's definitely much to do about the lack of a basic espresso machine at the breakfast buffet.
