Grand Mercure Bali Seminyak

Everything was fantastic. The grounds were beautiful and clean. Perfect for families but also perfect for a relaxing break. Close to local spas, restaurants, beach, and other shops.

The staff were exceptional. The restaurant staff were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was superb. The pool was lovely. I will stay again.

The room wasn't as clean as I hoped.

Loved the location. Staff very friendly and breakfast was fantastic. Loved that the rooms were double glazed, no outside noise heard at all ( once the bands over the road finished playing 9-10pm).

Pool lounges and linen! There have been many posts about this. So few pool lounges for the amount of people at the hotel. The linen in the rooms ( towels and bedding) are very grey and old. Pool towels sometimes had what looked like blood on them. We had a very noisy air conditioner in our room but it was fixed as soon as we notified reception.

The bathroom had a very large benchtop which was good. The pool view was good and included a sea view over the derelict/empty land on the beachside of the hotel. Breakfast was good, once you found out where they were hiding the pork sausages and the bacon.

Whilst located very close to Double Six Beach, the road aspect of the property faces a derelict hotel. Don't get a roadside view room - always book a pool view room. There were very few poolside beds available. We went to the beach nearly every day because of this. Why do they 'hide' the pork sausages and bacon serving dishes at breakfast? We didn't realise this and didn't find them until the 3rd day of our stay. The cushions of the lounge chairs at the bar were very dirty. I mentioned it to the staff and they tried their best to clean them, but with little difference. There was a lot of peeling paint on the main external walls of the hotel.
