9 min walk both to Canterbury West train station and into the start of the ‘pedestrianised’ town centre. Very clean room with a comfortable double-bed, and small shower room with toilet and (very) small sink. More than adequate for our two night stay. Some reviews mentioned traffic noise but neither myself nor my wife (both pensioners from a small village) found it to be in any way a problem.
Probably the best value for money accommodation in Canterbury when we stayed. I would recommend it to anyone for a short stay. Roger the host was very friendly and helpful. It will be our accommodation of choice should we return to Canterbury for a short stay.
Other than the small sink which was only awkward rather than an issue, everything was fine.

Roger is een vriendelijke gastheer. De prijs-kwaliteit van de kamer was prima. De privé-badkamer met toilet en douche is een grote troef. De kamer was proper gepoetst en er was koffie en thee voorzien.
De kamer is gelegen aan de straatkant. Als het raam open staat, is er wel verkeer te horen. Er werden oordopjes voorzien door de gastheer. Er is geen slot op de deur van de kamer. Voor ons was dit geen enkel probleem, maar dit kan bij sommige mensen als negatief worden ervaren.

Roger and Irina are lovely hosts, kind and approachable and they made sure we had everything we needed. It's a sweet room with a great shower and toilet, a kettle with tea and coffe, a table, a few chairs and plenty of pillows. We felt comfortable and it's exactly what we needed for the short business trip we had. There are cafes and restaurants 7-10 minutes away, and the train station Canterbury West is about 15 minutes walk.
The room has a window facing the road, so it might get a bit noisy at night. Important to know for light sleepers! Although earplugs have been kindly provided :)

the room is at a homestay with its own private bathroom (shower, toilet), it was really clean, spacious, nicely furnished with a super comfortable bed. The host is kind and polite, he had recommendations about what to do, i had no problem with staying at their house, their living space is separated from the room. The location is great, 5-10 mins from the center, in a bit less turisty area, close to Canterbury West station. i can truly recommend staying here !:) thanks for hosting me
it's better to sleep with the windows closed as the road can get busy in the morning
