Cozy country house with a garden and private pool, 4 km from Solanas Beach.
Lovely holiday house with swimming pool of 5m diameter and garden of 800m2 in the middle of nature, close to the marvelous crystal clear sea of Solanas with its large sandy beach.
The house has a living/kitchen with dining table, TV and couch. The 3 bedrooms all have their own airco and bathroom. The house has been restructured, insulated and the bathrooms have been installed this year and are functional, modern and clean. The kitchen has all necessary comforts like dishwasher, espresso machine, toaster, water boiler and microwave. The house has solar panels and the water comes from a well. On request there is an electric car charger. Going into the garden you can enjoy your holiday in full privacy, also in the high season. You can read a book in the shade on the veranda or create a fantastic meal on the cement barbecue.
The wooden pool of 5m diameter is situated in front of the house with sunbeds and shower. Perfect for a relaxing moment after a day of exploring the beautiful sardinian surroundings, culture and beaches. Here one can enjoy the last sunbeams of the day with a nice cool drink and have a good conversation or read a book.
The house is 3 km from the high way exit. The last 700m will be on a sandy road, which is not suited for fancy cars. It is a perfect location to start to explore Sardinia: first of all you will be at Solanas' beautiful beach in 5 minutes, furthermore it is only a 40 minute drive to Cagliari, the beautiful capital of Sardinia with its old city center and beautiful monuments. Or you can head to the famous Villasimius with its white sandy beaches, cristal clear water and sea nature reserve. Another option is to go north towards Costa Rei or Muravera, where there's also a lot to see and to explore. The inland of Sardinia is very interesting for its nuraghi, mountains and culture.
The pool is open from the end of March until the beginning of November.

We enjoyed 2 weeks in this house- the owner Alice was incredibly helpful and attentive. The house itself was in a relaxing and secluded environment which helped enable a real vacation feeling. It was particularly lovely to sit on the terrace with a glass of wine and enjoy the Mountain View. We would happily return!

If yes, this is the place for you. Swallows swooping down over the pool, hummingbird moth visiting the flowers, a tortoise at the end of the lane, only birds for neighbours...
The house is in a weekend house area at the end of a dirt track . Hire an SUV and you will have your own heaven. The house was cool and lovely, spotlessly clean, but we spent most of the time in the garden on the large, shaded terrace, looking out to the mountains hugging the valley, enjoying the sun setting over the peaks, watching the stars come out in all their millions, making a wish on the odd shooting star.
I want to move there.
Alice is also absolutely lovely, the local beach is stunning with a small cafe... I have already recommended the place to people. If it is still free for your dates, book it. It is the perfect off the beaten track hideaway that kept two grown ups and two small kids very happy.

We have just returned from a fantastic last-minute short break to the south of Sardinia. We wanted to experience this part of the island between Cagliari and Villasimius.
Tucked snugly up a dirt road (just 3km up from Solanas ), Villa Floris was the perfect base to explore from. Our host Alice made us feel so welcome. Her knowledge of the area is outstanding. She gave us many excellent tips for coastal viewing points, walking routes, the best coffee places and some great restaurants where the locals go.
Villa Floris itself is a modern, well-designed three- bedroom /three bathroom house with every convenience and comfort.
The first afternoon we just relaxed in the garden, enjoyed the cosy pool and had a BBQ. It really is a little oasis of calm.
The following morning (feeling like real locals), we headed back down the little dirt road to the coffee bar. Breakfast there was followed by a long walk on the nearby Solanas beach. Simply stunning!
In the evening, we had a lovely dinner in the lively town of Villasimius which is a short 20 minute drive away along the coastal road.
The next day, we headed into Cagliari for lunch and to visit the food market. A real Italian experience! We picked up some amazing fresh fish for our BBQ back in Villa Floris.
Our visit was just too short. We will certainly be back to stay in Villa Floris and explore more of this amazing part of the island. Thank you Alice for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay.
