This year, our family decided to get away for Thanksgiving at the last minute, and we chose one of our favorite spots in Wisconsin...Door County. Jennifer quickly replied to my request and was great at communicating. This was evident in her emails and her detailed, thoughtful, personal welcome/informational binder at the home.
We loved our stay at Chicory! You can tell that the owners have put their heart and soul into the property. It was immaculate, tastefully and serenely decorated, and very well stocked. The location was perfect for us, and it was an easy and beautiful drive to other parts of DC. The game room is a fun bonus that our entire family enjoyed. Watching the sunrise over the lake while enjoying coffee and being warmed by the fireplace was delightful. We made a lot of good memories at the Chicory Lake House; it was the perfect respite for our family during this Thanksgiving season. Thank you for sharing your lovely home! We hope to be back again. :)

We stayed at this property for a long weekend and had a great time.
The location on Kangaroo Lake is beautiful and is a quick 5 minute ride into Bailey's Harbor.
The property was the cleanest of any rental we have ever stayed at. The owners do a fantastic job of maintaining the property in between guests and have it stocked and ready for guests.
We had a lot of fun playing in the game room and playing the records on the turntable. It was fun to watch our children play some of the classics and really enjoy it. So much so we are now shopping for a turntable of our own.
We would love to come back here in the summer, it truly is a special property!

This was best rental we've ever stayed at. So clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well-equipped. Owners are super helpful and very communicative. We'll definitely be back!

This place exceeded our expectations. Everything was so clean, well kept and extremely comfortable. The house had every amenity you could need. The location was perfect…off the beaten path but close enough to all the things Door County has to offer. The hosts were great to work with! We will be back!

From start to finish our experience at the lake house was awesome. Jennifer was so nice and accommodating to give us an early check-in. The house was immaculate,well stocked and very comfortable for 3 couples that came. The game room was very fun and we were lucky to be able to kayak the beautiful Kangaroo Lake even though it was October. The bonfire pit was wonderful. We were able to view a harvest moon above the lake. The record player and old records brought back memories. Walked to Coyote Roadhouse a couple of times for cocktails and food. So convenient to property. They really pay attention to details here. Bedding and towels seemed brand new along with kitchen items. The information binder gives so much useful information in a friendly manner. You feel as if the owners really want you to have the perfect experience here and you will. Love love love this place. Can’t wait to come back!

I highly recommend this rental. Everything was simply perfect. All the details of the home made it convenient and comfortable. The home was the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed at and was decorated to perfection. This home and management sets the standard of what an excellent experience looks like!

Our stay at the Chicory Lake House was fantastic! Jen and Brian have a fantastic home. Whether making memories around the fire pit, on the lake or driving a short distance to the shops the Chicory Lake House really has it all! Jen was also awesome about responding to questions and or issues. We loved it so much we will be returning next year!

We came for a girl weekend and everything was amazing. To the cleanliness and the beautiful day which allowed us to go paddle boarding and kayaking on the lake. We loved the fire pit at night out looking the lake. We couldn’t have asked for a better girls weekend and better place to stay!

Our group was very impressed with this property. It's so homey and comfortable. We played games and sat by the fire pit nightly. We loved the location and view. The owner Jennifer went out of her way to get an item returned to a member in our group. We REALLY appreciated the attention to details. We would definitely rent this house again.

We had a group of 8 ranging in age from 17-80 and everyone loved it! The house is adorable and beautifully decorated. It was well stocked with all the towels, paper products, and other necessities we needed for a whole week. The kayaks and paddleboards were a big hit! The owners provided so much helpful information and recommendations for the area. Coyote Roadhouse restaurant just steps away was super fun and convenient. Would definitely come back!

This property was perfect for our family of five ages 5, 9, 14, and two adults. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards. The game room was an added bonus. We spent hours out there. We had a fire every night and wood was provided for us. The owners were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. This house was also very clean. Highly recommend this property and we hope to be able to stay here again.

The second we drove into the driveway to the house, we knew we had chosen the very best place for us to stay. The house was extremely clean and welcoming and accommodated us to a T. Just when we thought there was something there that was missing, we found it in one of the closets or cabinets. Anything and everything we needed was supplied for us and that made it even more of an enjoyable stay than it already was. We enjoyed leaving the house to explore Door County, but we were never sad to have to go back and hangout because there was still so much to do at this property. If we go back, which I definitely think we will, we hope to be able to stay here again!!

Amazing rental. Easily one of the best I’ve ever been too by far. Very clean and new, plenty of towels etc. Lots of access between game room plus the shed with Kayaks, SUP, yard games.
Great owner/operators.
Would absolutely recommend as a rental, hands down.

Our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The property is absolutely beautiful, clean, and had all sorts of amenities that made our stay special and comfortable. We had young children with us (3, 4, 6) who loved the game garage, kayaks, and lawn toys. They were especially excited about s'mores over the fire pit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We certainly hope to come back again.

This was our 3rd visit to Door County from Chicago and our best trip thus far. The location of this home is convenient to Egg Harbor, Ephraim, Fish Creek, etc. not to mention the main strip of Baileys Harbor 5 minutes and just a couple of turns away. Great views of Kangaroo Lake. Home has everything you and your family could need is super clean and nicely decorated. We’ll be back this winter or next summer.

This lovely cottage was recently renovated so EVERYTHING was crisp and clean with remarkable attention to detail. We enjoyed cooking in the very well equipped kitchen, the beds were comfy with great pillows and blankets and the lake view can’t be beat. We loved the gas fireplace on chilly mornings and sitting outside in the sun on warm afternoons. The property managers were quick to respond to any inquiry and check in was seamless. This is a great location for a visit to Door County and we wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

The property was perfectly maintained and appointed. A lovely arrival bag was provided with wine and treats. The location on the lake was beautiful with kayaks and many other water items provided. Beds were very comfortable. Game room was fun. A very quick walk to a local bar with a nice outdoor area. Truly a wonderful place. The only negative at all was that, with the fees and taxes increasing the cost by over 50%, it made for a very expensive long weekend. But the property itself was among the best I have stayed in on VRBO.

This a beautiful lake home that has been thoughtfully setup for guests, including young children. We had a wonderful getaway with our toddler, who continues to talk about how much fun it was to vacation at Kangaroo Lake and loved the playroom in the garage. We hope to visit again!

This property is amazing! Everything was perfect down to the last detail. The house was spotless, the towels were fluffy, the beds were comfy and the rain shower head was fabulous! We loved taking full advantage of the kayaks, paddle board and fishing poles and the smores kit to use around the backyard firepit was so sweet--literally! Thank you so much for a wonderful week at the gorgeous Chicory Lake House!
