Clean and quiet. The old style pine made me feel like I was at my mother-in-law‘s cabin in the Northwoods. Very much enjoyed the nostalgia.

Great service and comfortable bed. For the location and the price we would stay here again. But the room we were in was very cozy, we could hear everything the neighbors said, and the shower head sprayed everywhere but down.

My only complaint would be the size of the room. It was small, yet it was still comfortable. The room was well appointed, very comfortable bed and the shower was great. It's conveniently located near several amenities and attractions too. Overall, a very favorable experience and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Glad we found this gem in our Colorado travels. If we had not stopped here, we would not have visited the beautiful Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Very close to Salida for restaurants and shopping.

Nice owner, really making the lodge up scale!

Exactly what we needed for a quick stay before an early morning hike. Felt a little pricey. People were very friendly and clearly care about the property and about their work. The window in the door let in a lot of light from the parking lot at night. Some sort of shade would be helpful.

We had a great weekend in the Poncha Springs/Salida area. This hotel was clean and had a nice outdoor area to sit around a fire. The room was small but manageable for 2 people. The shower was dark (no lights in it) and the floor was slanted making it a little slippery in one direction. Good and activities were all close by!

The bed was really comfortable, like the mattress was new. That's all I need is a good nights sleep! Owner of the facility was friendly, and a good steakhouse is right across the street.

Dawn was great! Gave us fun dining suggestions and had fire pit already roaring!

This was a really fun place for an overnight stay. We got here a bit late but Dawn was still out by the fire pit and welcomed us with open arms! Amenities were fine. Only downside was that outside lights by the room are left on all night. Since there is a a small diamond shaped privacy window in the front door it felt like we had a spotlight shining on us all night.

The gal who checked us in was so sweet and accommodating. We had been traveling all day and just needed a bed and a shower. The room was small but cozy and it worked out great!

Owner was personable and gracious and friendly. Checking-in was easy and we were offered a free beverage. Fun to stay in a roadside lodge with a real key for the door! Beds were super comfy and bathroom spacious and well-stocked. We will definitely stay there again!

The check-in was fine, but the photos were not representative of the actual property. I’m sure there are more modern hotels in the area. The decor was very outdated. When I flushed the commode, the water pressure was depleted for my husband in the shower. We were told there was place to get coffee and breakfast burritos within walking distance, but both were closed the following morning. I would recommend finding another place. I’m

Quaint & cute- and ready for your visit! The owners, Jimmy and Dawn have made their mark on this place and we will be returning! We were graciously welcomed at 10pm, shown around and then to our room. Wish we had more time to experience having a glass of wine in their courtyard with fire pit. Everyone we met- food truck owners/ burger shack/ locals were so friendly and welcoming. Get ready to be wowed by this motel!

The owners were wonderful, allowing us to check in early since the room was already cleaned. They were very helpful in recommending restaurants for dinner. Our room was tiny but so was the price. We were too tired from our drive to take advantage of the lovely patio but it looked amazing.

The owner was very pleasant and was enjoyable to talk with. He has created a wonderful space to relax in the patio. The bedroom was comfortable.

Great little motel getting lots of updates. Super cute back area with a fire waiting when we got back from Salida. There is a bike trail to get to and from downtown Salida. Walk to the winery, bike/walk to Elevations Brewery. Cute coffee/breakfast next door. Amazing and friendly owners.

Room was missing many things i expect when i pay over 100$ a night, like handsoap, a fridge, a microwave, and coffee cups to go with the coffee maker. Room was pretty clean. Would be a goid idea for the team to clean under the bed as the room was so small i kept knocking things under the bed. Would also be safer if the bed didn't move. The owners are very pleasant.

We stayed one night at The Lodge at Poncha Springs. Dawn, one of the owners, greeted us - she could not have been more lovely. She was welcoming, told us about their plans for the property, and even invited us to hear a small concert some friends were performing next door, on their way back from performing at South X Southwest. It felt like coming to stay with a friend. Dawn also gave us some great reccos for hot springs nearby and restaurants, which we really appreciated. Location is fine - a bit away from any semblance of town but had a cafe, restaurant, and grocery store close. The room was very basic - clean but quite small, with very little room around the sides of the bed, and no fridge in the room. Sounds like they'll be making some improvements over time, but we very much appreciated how warm and welcoming Dawn was and wish them all the best - would stay again.

This is an old school mid-20th century motel. Has the mom and pop charm with great beds and super clean. Would recommend over a chain any day.
