Rio Hostel

Great value for the price, in a safe, easily accessible location right in front of Plaza Rio2. Don't pay attention to the biased reviews. This is decent place for budget travelers. It has everything one needs. And if you value saving money with a decent level of comfort, you should not hesitate to book! You can't beat the price. You can easily reach this hostel by bus, with Legazpi Metro station also located at a short, 12 minute walk. There are plenty of nearby places to eat out, as well as a supermarket just 3 minutes away.

All four staff members were polite and helpful, but one was not as friendly as the others. While this does not affect the overall quality of the stay, it could be improved through enhanced people-skills-training. There are two separate bathrooms, with only one having a functional shower room in the mixed-dorm at which I stayed. It could be ideal if they fixed the non-operational shower (you can still use the sink and toilet there, but one has to use the other bathroom to shower). With that said, I did not have any issues finding an available shower/bathroom when needed, even though there are 22 guests staying in that mixed-dorm.

La tipa della reception mi ha detto che io devo abituarmi a stare negli ostelli quando non solo io ho lavorato nel settore alberghiero Ma anche in ostelli e probabilmente ho conosciuto Castelli molto di più di lei. Quindi chiedo formalmente delle scuse dato che io non mi sono mai lamentato , anzi ho sempre fatto i complimenti alla struttura. Non capisco come mai mi ha detto così.

The hostel is clean.

Everyone had to keep their coats and jacket on everywhere in the hostel becuase it is very cold and freezing. The staff do not care that it is freezing, there is no heating on. Also, the showers are cold; it was difficult to have a bath because the water was lukewarm and cold. Additionally, there is no privacy, and the beds are uncomfortable to sleep on. It was a complete waste of my trip. I will never book this place again.
