Excellent location for exploring central Dorset. Beautiful peaceful garden setting. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and were on hand to recommend local activities even though they had provided a comprehensive manual on the property and the area. The cottage was restored with tasteful decor, quality fittings and a high level of attention to detail. We loved our stay here and would happily return.

The location, the grounds, the cottage itself was immaculate, well fitted out, lots of thought and detail.

Nothing all was spot on.

Amazing place, very accomodating would stay again

Nothing to dislike

This was a fantastic cottage in beautiful, well kept & extensive gardens. The hosts have thought of everything. The cottage was immaculately clean & had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped with a washing machine, microwave, coffee machine & fridge freezer. The living room was cosy & comfortable & upstairs were 2 lovely bedrooms and a shower room. There is also a downstairs toilet. The hosts are friendly & left a welcome pack with bread, milk, eggs & a homemade cake. We enjoyed using the heated outdoor pool. Each cottage has a private patio area with a table, chairs & a bbq. The local pub is a 2 minute walk through a gate at the bottom of the garden. Great location within easy driving distance of Dorchester & tourist attractions. We would definitely recommend Gamekeeper's Cottage & would go back again.

The staircase is narrow & quite steep, so would not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
