Standard Japanese-style room but the futons were excellent—possibly the most comfortable of our whole trip. The public bath was very good. Location is the real selling point: the coastal trail loops right around the hotel (Anegasaki, roughly an hour, cliffs and seabird colonies) and it's a short drive to Jodogahama. Buffet dinner had a huge selection and the AC, though dated, worked well.
The buffet is served in a very large, busy hall—plenty of choice, decent quality, but it feels more like a canteen than a proper dinner, and it wasn't the best food we had on this trip. Value for money is on the weak side: we've stayed in better places for less.

The property is tired and needs a makeover. Great location but decor is old and from another era.

"Stunning location almost at the scenic Sanriku Coast, with its cliffs and pine trees. The room is basic but clean. Buffet dinner and breakfast. Decent public bath."
