Location is great

The hotel is fine if you’re OK with the following points: 1) no lobby. 2) no elevator. 3) noise at night. 4) The washbasin was located in the bedroom, right next to the bed, rather than inside the bathroom, which could be noisy if your partner was asleep. I’m not sure this is actually a 4-star hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay here! After a long and rather exhausting sailing trip, arriving at such a spacious, modern and comfortable suite felt absolutely like a heaven. The suite is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and much bigger than we expected. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom is large and modern with a great shower, and everything you might need has been thought of — coffee, a kettle, plenty of space to hang and store your things, ironing facilities and good air conditioning. There is also a small but very charming little balcony that feels wonderfully Athenian. The location is probably one of the biggest highlights. You are right in the heart of Athens, surrounded by fantastic restaurants, cafés, bars and nightlife, while practically all the major sights are within walking distance. We barely needed any transport during our stay. For us, especially as people who enjoy going out in the evening and exploring a city on foot, it was pretty much the perfect location. There isn't really a traditional reception or hotel staff that we met, which was a little confusing at first. However, after reading previous Booking reviews, we understood that the lovely ladies working in the clothing shop downstairs could help us if we needed anything. They were very friendly, and on our last day we were also able to leave our luggage there for several hours after check-out, which was extremely convenient. We were so happy to stay here and would definitely choose it again for another trip to Athens.

There are really only two things worth knowing before booking. There is no lift, so you need to carry your luggage upstairs. It wasn't a major issue for us, but it could definitely be inconvenient for someone with heavy suitcases or limited mobility. The other thing is noise. The suite is located right in the heart of one of the liveliest areas of Athens, so naturally there is plenty happening outside in the evenings and at night, especially on weekends. Sleeping with the window open would probably be difficult. With the windows closed and the AC running, however, we were able to sleep without a problem. For us, this was simply the trade-off for having such a fantastic central location. If you enjoy restaurants, bars, nightlife and being able to walk everywhere, it's an amazing place to stay. If you're looking for complete silence and very early nights, the location might not be ideal for you.

La pulizia in generale, dentro la stanza c’era parecchia polvere, accanto al guardaroba c’era un tappo di una bottiglia di birra, e c’era anche una piuma di uccello a terra. Dal bagno risaliva una fastidiosa puzza di fogna, abbiamo dovuto dormire con la finestra del bagno aperta. La struttura è dotata di un servizio reception che non abbiamo potuto usare visto che è nel negozio di sotto che apre alle 10.00, quindi abbiamo dovuto pagare un deposito bagagli a pagamento.
