OLD STATION HOTEL

Great location near train station, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff let me leave my luggage there before I checked in and after so I could explore the city. Staff able to accommodate a slightly earlier breakfast for me as I got up early to cross border to Tajikistan for hiking in Fann Mountains.

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was satisfying. They took care of everything needed while eating and helped attentively, and every space—from the hotel entrance to the room and kitchen—was clean and comfortable. The location was right next to the station, making arrival and departure very convenient, and there was a market nearby with plenty to see. I highly recommend it. And next time I visit Samarkand, I definitely want to stay again.

Laziz is an amazing guy - he was really responsive on WhatsApp when I had questions about check-in times, and he made me a packed lunch to take with me when I had an early train! Everything was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect if you arrive or leave during the night.

Sometimes you can hear the trains during the night as the station is nearby (maybe depending on what room you're in).

Excellent location for anyone catching an early train. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from the station, making it incredibly convenient. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to accommodate my 4:30am departure. They had a takeaway breakfast, coffee and my registration forms prepared in advance, and even called my room to make sure I was awake. The level of service was exceptional and made an otherwise difficult early start completely stress-free. Highly recommended, especially for early-morning travellers!

The hotel is located about 20 mins from Registan Square, which is the trade off for being so close to the train station.
