Secluded, clean, and charming! Perfect for a rural Southeast Texas getaway. The property is very well maintained, cozy, and inviting. The hosts have thought of everything including a map of property trails, labeling just about every light switch and drawer in the home. Get ready to unplug because cell service is not great this far out, and the hosts have kindly asked not to connect your phones to the satellite WiFi because of data limitations. There are TV streaming services, and if you don't mind the ads, there is plenty to watch for free on Tubi if you just gotta watch something on TV. You should also know, if you are traveling in very hot or cold weather that this is an older home with lots of windows, so pack accordingly! For a summer visit, there are lots of fans in the home and the house cools down very well at night.During our stay, the pond was a good bit lower than how it shows in the listing, which of course the hosts cannot help. However, if you've got good footwear, plenty of bug spray, and are careful, you can follow the pond trail back behind the pond to where find the land slopes off enough that you can walk down to the water's edge for some CNR fishing. The fish are small, but we had a nibble on every cast and caught a few small bass. It was humid back in the trees, but we jumped in the pool to cool off afterward. There is a small resident alligator who may come out and scowl at you for catching his fish, but he keeps his distance. What a fun weekend!

Great place. They really thought of everything, we had all the comforts of home. Nice private property and lots of nature. We really enjoyed our stay and since it is close to family we would definitely stay again.

This peaceful location outside of Cleveland checked all the boxes for our family getaway. A covered deck w/a beautiful pool & hot tub steps from the door. A fully stocked pond for those that liked to fish. Although we were here in the blazing heat of August, the house air conditioning kept the inside very comfortable at all times. The three year old summed it all up saying " I never want to leave here". The host, Angela was very gracious & answered all our questions quickly.
