Good location, good food ans clean rooms

Great staff, quite helpful with suggesting things to do in the area. The room was comfortable, clean and the bathroom had excellent hot water. Nice comfortable chair in the room to sit and read or whatever. Location wise there is a restaurant in the hotel but several others within walking distance. Share taxis go past all the time, 20 rupee ride to Elephant Falls. We walked back. The East Khasi Hills are magnificent.
There is a kettle provided but you need your own mug and tea or coffee. The wifi was not working until our last day but they have changed providers so hoping that's a one time issue.

Aurora Guesthouse was a decent place to stay for a night. Nothing particularly stood out, but it was comfortable enough for a short stopover. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was okay. Overall,

Breakfast was excellent. Veg Food was piping hot and delicious.
Rooms were chilly without heaters. We paid extra for the heaters which helped warming of rooms
