Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort & Villas

The resort is beautifully designed and maintained, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff of the hotel is amazing, super friendly and always willing to help you and make you feel comfortable during your stay. The main pool is beautiful, the water slides in the family pool kept my kids busy and happy for hours. The kids club is very good as well, especially for rainy days. Breakfast is very good as well. The lounge before the boat trip in Phuket made the experience of traveling quiet seamless.

I think the downside is there’s nothing near the hotel, so you are limited to eating lunch and dinner and snacks in the hotel, or taking a taxi every time you want something else. The prices of food and beverages in the hotel are quieter high for Thailand. Also it would be nice to have a place to sit and have a drink right on the (beautiful!) beach in the evening, maybe a beach bar or something similar.

The property is beautiful and very child friendly. The rooms are large and we had a great time. Food in the buffet was great. Will definitely return!

The food in the international Beach restaurant was not great. I ordered the black cod and it wasn’t cooked and it didn’t look like black cod either. We had to send the food back. Also, our friends who booked the exact tariff on expedia got 20% discount on all food but we didn’t get the same deal through booking.com. That’s not the hotel’s fault but it was disappointing.

We truly enjoyed the ambience and the beautiful room view. The staff’s hospitality was exceptional, making our stay memorable. A special thanks to the chef who kindly prepared our favorite Indian dish, Biryani, on request — it was delightful! ขอบคุณมากครับ/ค่ะ (khob khun mak krap/ka – thank you very much) for such a lovely welcome and heartfelt hospitality. The warmth and care we experienced made us feel at home. This place has now become one of our annual destinations, and we hope to make many more stays at Anantara. สุดยอด (sut yot – excellent) service and ความสุข (khwam suk – happiness) all around! 🙏 With gratitude and appreciation, we look forward to returning again.

FOod, Ambience, Spa what else!!

We truly appreciate the stunning beaches, the management’s personal care, and the staff's outstanding hospitality, but given the high prices and persistent disruptions, there is significant room for improvement to match the resort's premium positioning.

Our stay at Anantara Koh Yao Yai was a mixed experience. On a positive note, the resort staff and the management team were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and made genuine efforts to ensure we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. However, as a family booking 3 rooms for a peaceful luxury vacation, our overall experience fell short of expectations: Disruptions & Facilities: Out of our 5-day stay, 3 days were heavily impacted by continuous heavy construction noise near our rooms, unannounced power outages, and safety issues with worn furniture. Value for Money: The pricing across the resort is extraordinarily high—not just relative to Thailand, but even compared to some of the most expensive luxury destinations worldwide. We truly appreciate the management’s personal care and the staff's outstanding hospitality, but given the high prices and persistent disruptions, there is significant room for improvement to match the resort's premium positioning.
