The apartment is beautiful and clean and modern and located in a very great part of menlo park, walking distance to great restaurants and a dog park 100 yards away.
The particular apartment we stayed in was across the caltrain tracks, we knew that before staying but didn't realize how loud it would be. starting very early in the morning, we were woken up every 20 minutes. The bathroom needs hooks to hang towels. there is one towel bar and if 2 people are staying and want to keep track of towel usage, it's difficult.

Great facilities, full kitchen and filtered water through the fridge. Comfortable bed.
When I arrived my bed had not been made up, and looked like someone had given up half way through. So I had to do that myself, and unfortunately did not have any pillow cases for a few days.
The Caltrain is incredibly loud. I like ambient city sounds like busy roads and trains, but the Caltrain has bells and horns that start at 5am and repeat every 30 minutes until 7, when it is every 15 minutes. The property provides ear plugs, but I can’t overstate just how insanely loud the train is.
