What a wonderful property! The renovation of this old barn is something to experience. The windows and french doors let in lots of light and add a glow to the large plank wood floors. The great room is incredibly inviting and a comfortable gathering place to eat, play games, watch tv, or just sit and catch up (very comfortable sofas). The kitchen has everything you need to cook and share meals.Outside is a generous grass area with forest and foliage aplenty, sitting chairs and a table, and a fire pit for s'mores. Plenty of parking onsite and close to the main road to town and the local grocery store and co-op. And - bonus - fireflies at night.The primary bedroom and bathroom are roomy with lots of closet space. The second story bedroom with its elevated twin beds would be a perfect place for kids. The third story bedroom with its own window AC unit is like a secret hideaway from the rest of the house. There is a large closet with extra blankets, sheets, pillows and bedspreads to supplement the already well appointed beds.The second story bedroom does not have AC, but it does have an overhead fan and a floor fan, and there are two windows in the outside hallways to open at night to let in the cool air.Don't miss: Bucklyn Coffee (owner is a true espresso artisan); Tinder Hearth (bakery at a farm in Brooksville); Brooklin Inn and General Store; Fin and Fern (Stonington restaurant); hiking Blue Hill (views) - and more - TOO MANY TO LIST!!We will be back!

Very clean home with all updates. Spacious living room that opens into the kitchen area. Ample space in bedrooms for multiple people to stay. Owners are very accommodating and flexible.

Wonderful property! Has everything you would want and more. The hosts go above and beyond to add little extra touches like s’mores stations, a well organized linen closet, and a kitchen stocked with essentials. Loved our stay!

We visited Blue Hill and Acadia with two families. We needed a place that was suitable for six kids and four adults. This place was far better than we could have even imagined. It was a clean and historical property that has been thoughtfully renovated. The grassy area in the front is perfect for yard games and relaxation. The owners were extremely thoughtful and considerate. They even prepared a fire and welcomed us with s'mores supplies and other local treats. We will be returning!
