The house is as described, on a channel with a beautiful view of Cherokee Sound. The beach is a short walk or a quick kayak out of the channel. The beaches are amazing, stretching as far as the eye can see. We rented the boat and explored the sound. We saw starfish, sting rays, lobster, conch, turtles, and too many different types of fish to name. Communication with the host and property manager was seamless. We look forward to returning.

This place is absolutely spectacular, very new and spacious construction along with wonderful hosts and property manager that make me feel at home, cassarina point is beautiful and all the people are very friendly. It truly is a gem! Close to good fishing and amazing beaches too

The house and location were perfect and exactly what we were expecting. The evenings were perfect with a great ocean breeze. The house had everything we needed for cooking, etc. Having the boat to use was great and got us to our own island each day. Raymond was quick in responding when we had an issue. Highly recommend!

Great lay out. The fridge/freezer, air conditioning, internet, Host Donna, caretaker Raymond all worked great. We had a lot of fun. The Boston Whaler is good clean fun for all ages. Very close to town. Did not feel out of the way at all. We drove into town a took 5 different ferrys to different Cays and no one complained about the drive once.

Thoroughly enjoyed this property!! The size of the property, the location of the property and the price of the property is unbeatable!! We appreciated the privacy the location of this house offered and how clean and well maintained the home is. Having the boat and kayaks was a huge bonus!! The house has everything you need. The marine life we experienced just in the canal was incredible. We are already missing sitting on the deck with our morning coffee and looking out at the beautiful water view. Talk about relaxing! We enjoyed Taco Tuesdays at Jake’s and enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Pete’s Pub. Donna, the host, and Raymond, the manager, were easily accessible for any questions and/or concerns. HIghly recommend this property!!!!

We found this property to be a true treasure. This 3 bedroom home had beautiful views and was roomy and comfortable. Daily walks on the beach, fishing on the flats, boating and kayaking added to many joys we experienced.

Great family retreat in the Bahamas away from the crowds. When you stay in Casuarina Point you are surrounded by locals, it's a quiet community. We loved having the whaler for the week, we had our three boys, ages 21, 18 and 14 so island hopping, swimming, boating, exploring and fishing was the daily routine. Thank you Donna and Fred for being so accessible and helpful for our many questions. We'll be back!

Beautiful home and property in the beautiful Casuarina Point Beach.

The rental is well maintained and the owners are extremely helpful and responsive. This area of the island is a little more secluded, which is nice if you want a vacation away from it all. The house is quite large and had plenty of room for everyone in our group. The washer and dryer were a nice plus. As were the kayaks that come with the rental. You will need to rent a car to get around the area, but it’s quite easy to navigate once on island. Within a short drive, you’ll find Pete’s Pub (which we loved) for great food and a fun beach location. There is a grocery store at the Big Bird just up the road and a small convenience store in Cherokee Sound. Highly suggest getting all your supplies in Marsh Harbor before driving down. Jake’s is currently running a food trailer at the entrance to the neighborhood on some days. It’s a good option for food, as is Pete’s, otherwise, I suggest cooking on your own. Fishing trips can be arranged to pick up from the pier, which is great. Owners are extremely helpful and can give you tips and tricks to make your stay more enjoyable.

Our family was right at home here! The view is amazing and the house was very nice, with great air conditioning! The front porch is awesome, with shade all day and a constant breeze. The property manager was very helpful and prompt to respond. We got to see a variety of marine life in the canal and also took the provided kayaks out to watch sea turtles in the bay. We really enjoyed our stay!

We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and private. The views were amazing and the accessibility to the water is fantastic. Donna and Fred are amazing hosts and and they have a wonderful property manager that was available at all times of our stay. We loved casuarina point and hopefully we will rerun again soon! If you are looking for privacy, adventure, and a place to get away from it all, this will exceed your expectations!

If you’re looking for a clean, private, tropical getaway—this is it! Honestly, this place is a secret slice of paradise. The property, inside and out, is so tidy and aesthetically pleasing with the mosaic tile, stained glass accents, treasures from the sea, towering coconut trees and a fabulous collection of conch shells (that I just had to add to 😉). I can’t begin to tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed the skiff! We had the time of our lives riding around finding starfish, conch, sharks, turtles, and tons of sand dollars, etc.! Incredible! We bought groceries to last us the whole week in Marsh Harbor on Sunday, and then just ate whatever we caught that day (we brought foldable fishing poles). I suggest this method so you can get as much time at the house and on the water as possible! Although we were nestled away and didn’t venture into town much, the few locals we did meet were so pleasant; that includes the property manager, Brock, who brought over fresh coconuts and demonstrated how to cut them. Such a treat! Donna, your kindness and hospitality is sincerely appreciated. We had an unforgettable trip and are beyond grateful you shared your tropical getaway with us! This property is wonderful and highly recommended. Clean, well appointed and with a spectacular view that melts the time away. Rent the small whaler to explore the local waters. This place is off the beaten track but well worth a week stay or more to explore the area. Caves, blue holes, offshore and inshore fishing nearby. Definitely go bone fishing with Marty Sawyer, an expert guide that lives nearby 242-458-7301. That was the highlight of the trip. Not many restaurant options nearby, and the kitchen is really nice to cook your favorite meals. Overall a great place to stay and visit.

This property is a great spot if you want to be away from it all but not so far away that you don't have reasonable access to groceries and restaurants. The property is about 30 minutes from Marsh Harbour and is in a beautiful location. Having the boat and kayak's allows you to explore the area in a different way that only adds to the experience. The property manager and local caretakers were very attentive and made sure we had an excellent stay. Our only issue was having to leave and go back to the real world.

Abaco feels very safe, is clean compared to other islands, and the people are super nice. The main grocery store is great and you can buy conch, crabs, fish and fruit from local vendors near the KFC. Donna and Fred’s Tortuga Point House is very private but not secluded, spotless, the house/kitchen well equipped (sharp knifes we appreciated) and tastefully decorated, modern, comfortable and much larger than expected. The canal and beach are more beautiful than pictured and this is a fisherman’s paradise. Our 3 boys reached out to Fred about fishing prior to our arrival which secured us some great catches. We caught bone fish, groupers, snappers, sharks and other fish. The kayaks are great for fishing in the canal and we used the Whaler to explore the bay. We had a memorable vacation and we all want to return. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us!

This is an amazing place that provides everything the Bahamas can offer. You can boat and kayak at your leisure around Cherokee Sound, relax on a private beach, or fish the day away. The house is clean, spacious, and the view is beautiful. I absolutely loved staying at this location and plan to be back in the future.

There were 4 adults in our group. Everyone commented “we love this house”. Very spacious and open. Great views. We enjoyed the boat, kayak, deck, being at the end of the road, watching the fish swim by in the canal. We caught fish right from the yard. Hoses to rinse off with bun the dock. Short walk to beach.

We enjoyed our stay immensely-- the house was modern, clean and well appointed and the walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes. the views from the porch of the beach was beautiful and the owners were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. This is our second trip to Casuarina and we will be back!

The house was much larger than we’d expected! We enjoyed this place very much and the location was exactly what we’d hoped for. We rented the boat and very happy we did! Plenty to see around here and no shortage of bonefish very close by! My lady enjoyed the beach just around the corner in walking distance and I stepped out the front door and onto the boat every day. We’d recommend this place and we’d go back again in a heartbeat! Thanks Donna and Fred!

Some VRBO listings have pics that are outdated or don't represent the property accurately...this place however, was better than the photos presented. Amazing house (newer and larger) than anticipated. Great kitchen, cleaned thoroughly, right on the channel. We took the little boat out daily to explore the beaches at low tide and fished at high tide. We caught and ate plenty of mutton snapper and grouper. We saw many sea turtles, tons of starfish, and plenty of sand dollars. Check out snorkeling by the blue hole (straight shot out of channel a few hundred yards). Location is very private. If you've visited other Bahamas islands, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the quality of roads, grocery stores and airport on Abaco.

We loved our stay at this spacious and well appointed home on Casuarina point. From the curtious welcome from the caretakers to the spotless house everything was as advertised. The little boat was great for exploring the sound. One night out at Petes pub but most meals cooked in the huge kitchen.

This is a great rental. Homeowners use it themselves, so it has all the little things such as great pots and pans, knives, etc. that makes it live like ‘home’, except with the Bahamas great weather and a wonderful beach just steps away. Caretakers checked in a few times and everything worked as intended. Bonefish and other fish to be had in the bay right out front of the house. Only 20 minutes from the airport and ‘town’ so close enough to stay stocked on groceries but far enough away to not deal with traffic and noise. Stunning night sky with unbelievable number of stars. Thanks for a great ten days.
