The apartment is incredibly spacious and modern feeling with stunning views of the city. It’s centrally located but on a quiet street so it doesn’t feel touristy. It is on a hill and 3 flights of stairs up but so is everything in Lisbon. Easy checkin & out. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this apartment. It's centrally located with a good variety of food choices nearby including Nepali, Chinese, Thai, Portuguese and burgers.
The apartment itself is very well appointed with everything you need - washer/dryer, coffee maker, gas stove, microwave, electric oven and an assortment of simple spices and oils to cook with.
There were only 2 areas that I think can be improved. One is the non-stick frying pans have much of the non-stick coating already scratched off. Eating that stuff can be carcinogenic, so I think it's important to regularly replace them with at least 2 good working pans at any time.
The other is the water heater - a bit small for a house that can sleep 6. When one or two people had showered, the person after that would not have enough hot water for a full shower.
The apartment is situated near the top of a steep hill, but then so much of Lisbon is that way. My advice to first-time travelers to Lisbon who are considering this property: When taking the metro, stop at the Independente station and walk mostly downhill, rather than the nearer Maxim-Monis station, which will require you to conquer several steep inclines just to get home.

Our stay at this VRBO Listing was flawless. The host has considered and provided everything one would need for a convenient ,comfortable stay. The location contributed to our spectacular visit , we could walk in any direction and be in the flow. The neighborhood was quiet and the view from the unit was postcard perfect. The communication and hospitality from the host was exceptional.

This apartment was even nicer than the photos. Everything was lovely. And Marisa was very nice. The apartment has a beautiful view and is very well equipped. The neighborhood is nice too. I recommend taking the Lavra funicular down to the Restauradores metro stop. Avoid the Martin Muniz metro stop area. I was here with three friends and we each had our own bed and we were very comfortable.

Perfect localization to walk around in Lisbon. Really clean and modern appartment. On the top of that, Marisa was a wonderful host. She welcome us in person, give us a brief overlook of the city and answer rapidly to our messages. I highly recommand Marisa's place!

We were two couples and this apartment was excellent with a bathroom each. Lovely views from terrace. Spotlessly clean and anything you could wish for was provided. Nice area and we ate in local restaurants which were good and very reasonable. Lots of hills in Lisbon and this was on a steep street but only 6 mins walk downhill to the centre. Unfortunately the funicular wasn’t working which would have made life easier! Used trams, buses and trains to get around. Would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful apartment and a great location. The apartment was very comfortable and had amazing views. We loved sitting on the deck at night after a day of walking. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed.
I also want to say the the owner went out of her way to be very helpful and accommodating. We are very grateful for her assistance with our vacation.

We were two couples that stayed in Marisa’s apartment and we couldn’t ask for a better apartment, location or view. Marisa met us at the apartment and went over everything with us, which was nice. This apartment looks just like the pictures. There is a view out of every window. Marisa was so helpful during our stay, she even booked taxis for us when we left. We loved everything about this apartment and would stay again and would highly recommend to friends with no hesitation.

We were delighted with all aspects of Marisa's apartment. We could walk to almost everything, through charming, fascinating neighborhoods brimming with superb restaurants, lovely parks and squares, interesting historical sites, beautiful architecture., lovely shops.
The apartment was beautifully designed and furnished, spotless, nice kitchen with everythging we needed to cook several meals (restaurants were wonderful so we dined out frequently)..
Thank you Marisa for making our trip one of our most memorable!

The owner welcomed us very friendly for check in and check out. The apartment itself was spacious and very clean and has two storeys. Fantastic view from a large balcony, also two smaller balconies. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need including a dish washer and a washing machine. The three bedrooms were comfortable and calm, and well equipped. Two quite new bathrooms with shower. All in all a super stay in fantastic location. Thanks Marisa!

This apartment was great for our family of four and would also work for a family of five as there was one bed we didn't use. The apartment was spacious and the children enjoyed having the second floor all to themselves. We appreciated little amenities like extra adapters for the outlets and shopping bags/cart to use at the grocery store. We didn't really use the outdoor terrace as it was February but it looks like a wonderful space to have a meal or relax in warmer weather. The location of the apartment is also great. It is right in the heart of Lisbon, just a short walk from the main Dom Pedro IV Square and lots of shops and restaurants. It's also a short walk to the metro and tram stations so it's very easy and convenient to get all over the city. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back in the future.

Marisa's place is perfect for couples, families, friends. It is very well equipped and is very quaint and clean. Our host was extremely helpful getting cabs, suggesting restaurants and explaining how everything worked. We loved it there, but know it's on the 3rd floor with no elevator.

Clear communication from the host, and very helpful. Everything you need is available in the apartment. Some basic amenities provided, which is great. The view is amazing.

Situated on one of the Lisbon hills, you only have to walk down to reach the biggest sights, the river or the Metro. Many small grocery stores and restaurant within 200m. The apartment is spacious and the view is breathtaking.
The communication was smooth and the apartment very clean with everything we needed.

A very nice place, but as others have mentioned, the stairs can be a challenge (as can the street as well). A good location, very near the city center. Marisa was very helpful and there were manuals for most of the appliances. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in Lisbon.

We ended our 3 week Portugal trip with 5 nights in Lisboa. The VRBO was absolutely perfect for us. The walk-up was expected so we were not surprised and enjoyed finding various stairs and ally-ways to the VRBO. Marisa was an absolute pleasure and was ready to assist us with any request. I would highly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to book again.

After 11 days in the Algarve we - 5 adults - relaxed 2 days and 3 nights in Lisbon.
We received a friendly and thorough review of the apartment, and quickly felt "at home".
The apartment is close to the center and public transport - be aware that Lisbon = many stairs and steep streets.
We are certainly not afraid to recommend the apartment for a visit to Lisbon and the surrounding area.

Thanks Marisa for hosting a lovely stay for us in Lisbon, we really enjoyed our time there. Apartment was well appointed and the bedrooms comfortable.
A bit of a climb up a hill to get there in a street that is local use mostly. It’s was actually a big plus as we found great restaurants and other stores that most tourists would never find, but we were only a 5 minute walk from some of the tourist attractions, metro station and major shopping areas. Once we found the vernicular that goes up the hill, we used that a lot.
Would definitely stay here again

This is a great location, super clean, fabulous views, and extremely comfortable. As others have said, be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs but otherwise absolutely the best spot to stay in Lisbon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The place was sparkling clean and spacious enough for our family to sprawl out comfortably. Having two full bathrooms was so convenient for getting everyone ready and out the door in the mornings. The views from all the rooms were amazing, and it was so peaceful to sit out on the balcony at sunset. That being said, the price you pay for those views is being up high on a hill and it was a workout carrying all our luggage up three steep flights of stairs. But we would stay here again in a heartbeat next time we are in Lisbon!

Marissa's apartment was perfect. Immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great location. Quite a few steps to access the apartment but this was not a problem for us. Highly recommended with a great view from the terrace with air conditioning in the main room and one of the bedrooms.

This property is exactly as described. It is set high on a hill not far from the main squares with plenty of restaurant choices nearby. The walk up the hill is challenging for any but the really fit but it is definitely doable provided you don’t have mobility issues. There are then lots of stairs to the third floor and no lift. There is a funicular that will take you up the hill but it closes at 8.30pm (and was out of service this last week!). Taxis are inexpensive at around 5 euros from Rossio square. The apartment is well furnished and comfortable. The balcony/terrace has a wonderful view over the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Easy communication with Marisa, large comfortable and clean apartment with great terrace and everything you need. We had a great time staying with our 6 year old, but if you have smaller children you may want to keep in mind there are stairs without a bannister.

We could not have had a better experience! The apt was immaculate and tasteful. The host was there to answer any questions and helped us with several things including taxis. The location was great. An easy walk to Avenida Liberdade.

This was a great find for our family and led to us spending a great few days in Lisboa. The host was very communicative and helpful during the check-in and check-out process. The apartment is spacious, has great views of Lisbon, and is located on a quiet street but still very close to Old Lisboa, transportation, restaurants, and shops. There are also grocery stores and neighborhood restaurants on the same street so you get a taste of living in an authentic, local neighborhood.

Excellent apartment. Spacious, spotlessly clean. Quiet as in a forest. Yet 5 minutes walk down to Liberdade and to Matrim Moniz ( although not 5 minutes back up!). In every direction, a huge choice of restaurants owned and patronised by locals). Highly recommended ( but not for people with mobility problems).

This apartment is a great place for two couples or a family to stay while visiting Lisbon. The entire apartment is exceptionally clean, very attractive, and fully equipped with everything you need. Marisa was very easy to work with and added nice touches to make our stay great.
Don't stay here if you have limited mobility however. This is located on the third floor of a building located on a hill. The payoff however are great views of the city below and a quiet location for sleeping. This place is highly recommended.

We have stayed in many VRBO locations around the world and this apartment is one of the best places we’ve ever rented. The owner is a joy to deal with and the unit is perfect. Clean, quiet and well located, it is a gem. While it can accommodate six people, there were only two of us in the apartment and it felt like you were home. Do yourself a favour and book this place before someone else does.
