Beautiful outside area and dock area.

Beautiful place.

The host was very responsive. The dock and outside bar area was the best part of the home. We were not expecting anything fancy as we stay in many river homes throughout the year and they are all pretty much the same - you are there for the views and the access to the water and we understand that. Only complaints are, the people who stayed in the home prior to us must have kept bait fish in the fridge and freezer and the entire weekend our food and ice smelled of fish. We went to the store to buy cleaning materials and it did not fix it. It needs to be wiped down with bleach. It was very inconvenient. However, the host is actively working on fixing that for the next guest. The fault really was with the cleaning company as they should have relayed this to the host. Second, the front door does not lock. Every night we would lock the front door until the last day, we realized it wasn’t even locked. You have to pull up on the handle very hard for the deadbolt to engage or else the front door remains unlocked. And third, the house is currently listed for sale. It was a bit of an uneasy feeling, knowing that showing appointments could take place during our stay, however, I reached out to the listing agents, and they assured me that none would be approved. Still would have liked to have known ahead of time. All in all we would stay here again. The home was clean aside from the fridge and freezer. The beds were comfortable. And again, the views were great.

Location, lot, view, dock, outdoor space, and utility are amazing. But, the house looked and felt like someone was just their the night before. Bathrooms were not clean. Shower had old used soap, hair, mildew and stains. The hot water only worked in one of the bathrooms. And there were roach droppings all over in the kitchen cabinets.
