The Hotel was impeccably decorated with genuine authentic charm. The restaurant for breakfast could not have been better as the setting was as close to perfect as a hotel could achieved. Well done !! .

On first impressions I was surprised that what I thought I’d booked was a hotel and had the usual expectations of a standard reception check-in. Only when I arrived it was apparent that it’s a self check in. You had to read 1 email to find the entrance code then find another with details of what room you’ve been allocated. My email with these details went into my junk, I had to call up to sort this out. However this was done quickly. After a long, tiring day, I could have done without it. There’s no restaurant or bar in the hotel, so I went out. There’s lots of nice places to eat within a few minutes walk. You can’t fault the room, it was beautiful, clean and spacious. I also didn’t realise that you need to book your breakfast in the day before. I saw a note under my door in the morning telling me I should have done it. I went down for breakfast in the morning anyway, but there was no issue. I had a lovely breakfast in the cafe. On reflection I should have read what the procedures were but most people don’t. Overall it’s a lovely house and would stay again
