Loved the open fire and the character of the property. The village was lovely and there was plenty to do nearby. Good communication before and during the stay.
You could feel the springs through a couple of mattresses. One mattress was really hard. It would have been helpful to have a hairdryer. The light in the main bedroom didn't work and a socket was coming off the wall in the lounge.

The house was clean and cosy and set in a lovely location. As it was summer we didn’t use the log burner but it had the rustic smell of an open fire place. Plenty of kitchen utensils, mugs and saucepans, but as there is a superb pub a 100yds up the road selling food, we never cooked.
On the comfort side of the property, we used the back bedroom to sleep in. Unfortunately the mattress has a couple of springs protruding on the left side of the bed (if you are standing facing the bed) and occasionally stubbed my toe on the bed base frame.

I liked the cottage, it is comfortable, cosy and was great for my family of 5. There is enough space, everything for life, I could make meals, children found books to read, playground to play 50 meters away from the cottage. Therer are beautiful nature resorts all around and amazing sandy beach 20 min. by car. There are great historical steam train and amazing playground where you can walk. Wi-fi is great.

It needed beds replaced and kitchen floor covering
Also paint on chest and floor outside the bathroom would have just lifted the whole cottage
