A lovely apartment, with everything we needed, in a quiet location.

Apartment is about an 8 minute walk from the sea front, up a hill which is fairly steep just as you approach the apartment complex. The whole place was really quiet - I hardly saw anyone else there the whole time. Inside is just as depicted in the pictures. It's quite a basic apartment, but it's not pretending to be anything else, so it's absolutely fine for the price. It was also very clean. From the back terrace (which has 1 rather old sun lounger), you can see planes approaching and coming in to land. Note: if aircraft noise bothers you, you shouldn't be staying in Matagorda! :) And at this time of year (early June) the back terrace got the sun from around 9am - 3pm. Similarly the front terrace, which faces the pool, is in the shade until around 1pm, but then is in the sun for the rest of the day. This terrace has 2 decent sun loungers and a little table & chairs. It's also quite well shielded from the wind which is good. The wifi worked consistently well. It's not blazing fast, but it handled netflix and youtube streaming with zero issues. The management company do a good job regarding information on the apartment/area, and how to access the keys to get in. Though one small annoyance was that the listing on booking.com says a safety deposit of 150 euros is required, and it must be in cash. So I took 150 euros in cash with me, expecting to have to hand it over to someone. The safety deposit is actually done via card payment online! This is a much better, more convenient option, I just wish they made it clear that was the case because it would have saved me having to exchange and carry around 150 euros in cash... Overall I was very happy with the apartment, and would stay there again in the future.

Could have used more "apartment basics" like soap, kitchen towel, salt, etc. ie, the kind of things most people will use, but won't have with them when they arrive. I ended up buying shower gel, cooking oil, cleaning spray, etc. only using a small amount while there, and then having to just leave the rest when I left. As a bare minimum, something to wash your hands with, and a small bottle of water in the fridge would be much appreciated. :)

The apartment was very well maintained and modern, with an amazing sea view from the back terrace. The complex was mainly residential, lovely and quiet for a much needed relaxing break and just a short walk to shops and restaurants. Everything was spotless on our arrival. Would happily book the apartment again.

Complex situated on a hill, walk back would be difficult for some.
