The location was ideal for our itinerary in downtown Pittsburgh. The neighborhood was quiet and well-maintained, with a lot of architecturally beautiful old churches that reflect the historic ethnic diversity of Homestead back when the steel mill drew immigrant laborers from many different countries.

We would have liked to have been able to drop off our suitcases somewhere in the house earlier in the day, when we arrived in Pittsburgh at noon, prior to actual check-in after 4:00. As it was, we had to leave our things all day in our car.

This rental space is perfect for family traveling together, with comfortable features and lovely artistic touches throughout. The space is basic, as one would expect from a 100 year old home, but it also literally feels like you’re at home. The apartment is well provisioned, and included amenities like towels, washcloths, shampoo and conditioner, and body wash, which are pretty standard. What stood out was that the kitchen had all the items that you need to prepare a full meal, and included basic spices, coffee, and sugar, so you can basically show up with some groceries and have a great weekend without any hassle. The communication for check in and check out had the hallmarks of a capably-designed AI chatbot and made the experience easy. I’m in Pittsburgh often and will be looking to stay again in the future.

Nothing of note

Spacious, comfortable, great location.
