Liked the owners, they were very dedicated to host us. Everything was as mentioned in Booking.com. They have their own shop, so it's easy to get anything you want at almost any time.

It's right by the rail tracks, so train sounds could be an issue. We enjoyed the first couple of trains, but at night, it became an issue. In return, it's easy to go anywhere, and tuk-tuks are available on PickMe even at 6 AM.

Wonderful stay with the best hosts! We had a wonderful stay at Silver Rail and, without a doubt, Darshana and his wife were the best hosts we had during our trip. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and made us feel very comfortable. They even arranged our airport pickup at a very reasonable rate, which was more economical than the other options we checked. This made our arrival in Sri Lanka much easier and stress-free. The room and bathroom were clean, the AC worked perfectly, hot water was always available, and the water pressure was excellent. The location is also very convenient for exploring Galle. They also have a convenience shop downstairs, which was very useful for picking up anything we needed. One of the most memorable parts of our stay was getting to see peacocks every morning around the property. 🦚 Overall, a lovely stay made even better by the genuine hospitality of Darshana and his wife. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Silver Rail to anyone visiting Galle! 😊

Contentissimi di aver soggiornato in questa struttura: ordinata, pulita e ben curata, inoltre si può raggiungere il centro della città in pochi minuti. Avevamo acqua calda, wi-fi perfettamente funzionante e un posto per il nostro tuk-tuk. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e ci siamo voluti fermare una notte in più. La colazione era molto buona e abbondante, con tante pietanze tra cui piatti tradizionali e frutta. Anche se non era prevista il secondo giorno, e per loro era un giorno di festa, i proprietari si sono comunque adoperati cucinando per noi. Tutta la famiglia è stata fin da subito super gentile, attenta e dolcissima. Assolutamente consigliata! 🏠♥️

The owners were lovely. And the room was big. There brought tea for us in the morning which was nice.

The train was very very loud and woke us up all through the night. I read a review that said the trains didn’t run at night so I thought it would be okay to book. But they did indeed run about 5-6 times through the night and woke us each time unfortunately.
