Wir waren nur 2 Nächte dort, da es der letzte Stopp unserer Toskana Reise war aber dafür war es trotzdem wundervoll! Die Besitzerin ist sehr herzlich und hilft täglich bei allem mit. Das Essen ist fantastisch, ich kann die Halbpension nur empfehlen. Der Pool ist toll für die heißen Tage und die Ruhe dort kann man nur genießen. Ganz klare Empfehlung!

Ein paar mehr Schattenplätzen beim Pool wären toll gewesen, aber das ist wirklich meckern auf hohem Niveau :-)

Wir wurden super, persönlich betreut. Das Garten-Zimmer hat uns sehr gefallen, es war sehr sauber und das Bett sehr bequem. Das Frühstück ist klein aber fein und nur mit Produkten aus der Gegend bestückt. Das Nachtessen ist fein und ratsam in der Unterkunft zu nehmen, da die Unterkunft weit ausserhalb der nächsten Stadt ist und der Weg in der Nacht eher herausfordernd ist!

It is difficult to put into words just how special our stay at Locanda Fontelupa was. I have been visiting Italy since I was young, and staying in the Italian countryside had always been a dream of mine. I found Fontelupa on a whim, in a part of Tuscany I had never visited before, and I can honestly say the photos do not do it justice. It is even more beautiful and charming in person. The hospitality was exceptional from the moment we booked. Sharon was incredibly responsive and helpful, and when I explained that I am a strict vegan, they assured me I would be well taken care of. They went above and beyond: from wonderful breakfasts (including a delicious slice of vegan cake that I still think about!) to incredible vegan options at dinner. On a night when Fontelupa’s restaurant was closed, they even made a reservation for us at a local restaurant and contacted them beforehand about my dietary needs. The dinners at Fontelupa were so special that after our first one, we chose to eat there two more times. The food was wonderful, but what we loved most was the atmosphere: the hospitality, conversations, and feeling of community. We genuinely wanted to be part of everything Fontelupa had to offer. Giuska is one of the most hospitable people I have ever met. She gave us wonderful recommendations for beaches, towns, and places to explore, but what truly amazed us happened after we left. When she learned we were spending our final night in Rome, she called the Bulgari Hotel and arranged a beautiful happy hour for us. We were no longer even staying with her, yet she was still trying to make our vacation special. That gesture says everything about the kind of hospitality you will find at Fontelupa. I have had many wonderful experiences throughout Italy, but Fontelupa was truly one of the most memorable. I still dream about this place and sincerely hope we can return someday.
